Q:What is the most powerful solar panel made?
There are various solar farms that run turbine generators that have some rather large arrays. I suspect they'd be in the southwest but i've seen pictures of them covering a few acres. You won't find very large panels because its best to keep the panels small and just have a lot of them. This is because its much easier to have a thousand 0m^3 panels then huge 0000m^3 panel because you achieve best performance when you can align the solar panels to always face the sun. With a huge panel, you would need it to be high off the ground so it can manuver around. Small ones can all be menuvered on a small scale only a few feet off the ground so they can all be pointing towards the sun to gather the most light.
Q:Can solar panels be recycled? What about the manufacturing of these panels is it done in an Eco-friendly way?
No matter how electricity is generated you must use materials to build the plant. I don't know what my panels are made out of, and I don't know if they can be recycled. I also don't know what my other electric plant was made of or if it can be recycled. I do know now that it has been made and installed I'm not using coal or oil to make electricity, I'm not creating any emissions, and I won't have to worry about how high the cost of electricity goes.
Q:I want to build solar panels for my house.Dose anyone try okorder is this really work?
you okorder they have solar panels
Q:Photo-Voltaic solar panels are very expensive. Most of a home's energy needs are for heating water, heating and air-conditioning. All of these can be met with thermal solar collectors which are much less expensive. The thermal solar panels would heat water stored in a hot water tank which then can be used as hot water, to heat the home, or as the heat source to a Lithium Bromide Absorption chiller to air-condition a home. With the base line needs met without expensive panels and without inefficient energy conversions, only a small Photo-Voltaic array would be needed for the remaining power needs and since those needs are variable, there would still be power to sell to the grid.
That sounds good to me. I'm all for any kind of new energy as long as it's renewable and doesn't pollute the environment. I'm even a fan of solar water heating.
Q:Do solar panels require permits for installation?
Yes, solar panels typically require permits for installation. The requirements may vary depending on the location and local regulations, but obtaining permits is generally necessary to ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and grid connection regulations.
Q:I was looking at thin flexible solar panels as solar panels 500w a option to upgrade a 20w solar panel I have permanently mounted to the roof of a home made camper van.Why I was thinking flexible is at just 2mm thin they can be glued down and being flexible they will follow the contour of the rounded shape of the roof of my camper (boxy standard solar panel spoils the lines a little)Another reason is no glass to brake when traveling on dirt tracks(though I am surprised mine hasn't broken yet after thousands of km on corrugated dirt roads). Finally there is a weight saving at only /3 the weight or less then a standard glass panel. There are different grades of flex PV some of the more expensive ones are very flexible with extremely thin backing at around .5mm The ones I was looking at are cheaper and at around 2mm with a thin flexible aluminum backing.$250 is about the going rate for 20w OKorder job. Below is a pic of a smaller one 60w or so.Has anyone had any experience with them?
but it's very interesting and I wanted to ask you. In your case this is good solution, but I saw flexible panels in OKorder much cheaper than 250$. This is the price of standard solar panel 20w. Maybe your panels with better efficiency? I know that flexible panels are less than half efficient than regular panels, thats why you need twise more area to get the same output. What is your usage of this energy in this van? I know there are many ideas of solar cars, but if this solution is efficent enough today? Thanks!
Q:when solar panels have served their purpose, what is done with them?
Solar water heating panels can be salvaged for the copper and aluminum in them. Unless there's catastrophic damage, solar electric panels only weaken with time. Given that serious panels have a life of over 25 years, it's debatable whether anyone would want them after they've served their useful life, any more than someone would want a 386 computer from 985 running at 6 MHz. The glass and metal could be recycled, but the acutal solar cells I think would be thrown away. Contemporary panels are made ROHS compliant with zero lead, so are not especially toxic.
Q:Can it be used on a cellphone so u never have to worry about low battery?
A solar panel (photovoltaic module or photovoltaic panel) is a packaged interconnected assembly of solar cells, also known as photovoltaic cells. The solar panel can be used as a component of a larger photovoltaic system to generate and supply electricity in commercial and residential applications.
Q:How do solar panels affect the property's community image?
Solar panels can have a positive impact on a property's community image by showcasing a commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. They can enhance the property's reputation as an environmentally conscious and forward-thinking community, leading to increased respect and admiration from residents and neighbors. Additionally, solar panels can act as a visual symbol of progress and innovation, contributing to a positive perception of the property and potentially attracting like-minded individuals or businesses to the community.
Q:I have a solar panel I bought for a diy project and it has a small plug on the end of it, but I need to remove this plug to expose the positive and return wires so I can solder a bunch of stuff together. How do I cut off the plug without shorting out the solar panel when I make the cut? Can I just leave it in the dark a while before cutting? I don't think I can remove the wires from the solar panel end before cutting.
A solar panel doesn't store energy. As soon as the light stops, the current stops instantly. If it's a 200-watt panel or more, it won't be harmed by a short circuit, but it might be good to turn the panel over or cover it with cardboard before working on it. The spark can slightly mar the contacts. Doing the work indoors is enough to cut down the current, too. For a 60-watt panel or less, I wouldn't even worry about the spark, the power output is too low to do any damage.
