Q:I am repairing one leg of a mortise ant tenon teak chair. The joint has come loose and I dont really want to take the whole chair apart to fix one leg. I know you are supposed to rub the joint with acetone before gluing in up. The problem with that is that I cannot do a good enough job of cleaning the wood as the mortise and tenon is just loose and there is no real way of taking it apart.My question, id there a way of getting the glue sufficiently in the joing without taking the chair apart. Secondly, what glue could I use that doesnt require rubbing the piece with acetone.Thanks

Try Murphy's Oil Soap (found in local grocery or mass merchant) and a non-scratch pot scrubber (it's like plastic steel wool). This should take off dirt, dust, and gunk without harming the natural finish.

Q:I just got a new TV for gaming, a 37 Toshiba, but now I need a good chair. The TV is on a table maybe 1 ft. 8 in. high (about), so I think that I maybe want a chair with a pedestal thing on the bottom. The X Rocker Pro looks nice but is expensive. I am mainly looking for comfort here; sound quality is not as big of a concern although good sound would be nice:) The X Rocker Pro has mixed reviews on the comfort level, though... Also, I am 57ish and pretty thin, so I don't need a big, fat chair or anything too specific size-wise. It's the comfort that counts. Thanks.

There are several other types and brands of video rocker chairs or video gaming chairs at the site below. Some gaming chairs are good if you're short and some are good if you're tall. Trying the chairs out of course is best. You want your legs to reach the floor comfortably- the video rocker chairs are closer to the floor normally than the average chair. You can get gaming chairs that are cheap and good too.

I just got this high chair and I love it... And I got it for 15 bucks at a thrift shop. I'm not sure how much it costs, so I cannot tell you how good of a value it is... but, I sure love it and so does my son.

Actually what we hear is between certain frequencies like 20-20,000 HZ, or the way we speak between certain frequencies. Same is the case with our eyesight. We can't see a lot of creation like angels, jinns, devil etc. because they are said to compose of transparent stuff like fire meaning heat, etc. So you can say that there is a chair on the table which is present there but we can't see it. Because it belongs to the species living outside our world of frequencies.

Q:I noticed a lot of baby shower registries have a $400 rocking chair on them. the stores are packed with 500 choices of chairs. So I was wondering how important is it REALLY?Did you/do you really use yours with your new born?

They tend to be very helpful in getting a baby to calm (and even sleep)! So they're not a necessity (like a crib) but they're incredibly handy. I found my favorite at an unfinished furniture store. $60 for the rocker plus $50 for the stain and a good cushion.

So put it in the same room as your chair and hopefully it should work. Also, reward them with praise and treats when they scratch the scratch posts. This will let them know they are allowed to scratch and will begin to do it more. At first my cats would get scared when I caught them scratching the designated scratching posts. This is because everytime prior that I had caught them scratching (namely my sectional) they got in trouble.

If you're worried about the price, you could buy an alternative. You could buy an Homedics Massage Cushion for under $200. It is a full sized cushion (back and bottom) that will strap on to any chair you already have. You sit on it and it works just like a massage chair. You can get them in many varieties like Shiatsu Massage or Swedish Massage. If you really want full massage chair, it isn't hard to find, even a really good one, for under $3,000. I'd say most run around $2,500. The key is to get one that doesn't have tons of extra features that you'll have to pay for, but aren't going to use. Buy something simple that has what you need. Don't let the description of a chair fool you into buying it. Just because it sounds like it has a lot of awesome characteristics doesn't mean it's worth paying for.
