Q: I am looking into buying this chair because I think it is beautiful! I plan on reupholstering it in some colorful fabric. She says there are no markings except for a sticker that claims it was reupolstered in 1987 or 1977 hard to read. There are 2 wheels on the front 2 legs. Other than that I do not know much about it. Q: I have an english project due very soon, its a role play thing called town hall, we pick an issue, which is bad roads in our town, then we get a role, mine was a person in a wheel chair, so i need to know, do bad roads effect you in any way, like having to avoid pot holes or anything, repairs to your chair? anything will help.: I am not permanently in a chair, but was for a while due to an injury. I was stuck with the hard wheeled variety.. I felt every bump, and the terrain had to be quite smooth to facilitate independent travel. People having chairs with pneumatic tires are less likely to be affected by road hazards. You see people buzzing around in parking lots and on roadsides all the time with motorized wheelchairs and scooters. That said, bad roads would make it challenging to get around, they can handle a certain level of ill-maintained roads, but they have their limits. When your tires are only 6 inches in diameter, an 8 inch pothole causes trouble. Try to think about this from their point of view - noticing the size of curbs vs clearance of the chair, etc.

Does that sound totally ridiculous?: I guess it depends on how ugly those chairs really are!! If this is what you want, and you have the time to make them, then, why not? However, I would not make the two layers independantly. Rather, I would cut them out and sew them, two layers at a time. You could even stack a layer of solid, a layer of tulle, a layer of solid, a layer of tulle and then cut them all out at the same time to save time and energy. And, like I said, sew them two layers at a time to even save more time. Make a pattern and one chair cover to try it on a chair first to be sure it fits. Also, it might be wise to ask the venue if they intend to change the chairs before you wedding day. I would hate to see you sew a hundred of these covers and then not be able to use them!! I am not a negative person, but I think you should cover all bases to be sure there are no surprises.

Q: ok so we went to a Vegas casino buffet my nephew was put on the high chair after a few minutes it broke and he fell and hit his head. He cried for a little bit and we went home after dinner at night his mom noticed a big bump on his head so we took him to the ER. My question is can I sue the restaurant for hospital bills: How can you show that it was not you or someone else in the group who broke the chair? You say they chair was broken and he fell out. That must be reasonable serious amount of damage to the chair. This leaves me asking. Why was this damage not discovered by the person who put him in the chair, as the responsible carer for the child, this person should have examined this chair as it was not a familiar item and so its condition was unknown. When this child started to move around in the chair where was its carer to who should have noticed there was a problem right away. This is a restaurant, how did no one not notice the problem and what was the parents doing when the child feel. Don't they monitor their children? How can she prove that the injury to the child that the hospital treated was the result of this broken chair. Honestly the parents should be charged with child abuse.

Q: i'm told will take away power chair(obama) would like to hear if this is true or just rumor?: nonsense. every disabled person who needs one, deserves one. without it, how can they live with independence? where did u hear this? when? sounds more like rumor to me.

Q: I want a more comfortable chair when I'm sitting at my desk, because the chair I have is kind of uncomfortable. I was wondering if there was a chair/couch type thing that is really comfortable. If you have to work at your desk, check out chairs that are specifically designed for desks as they offer many features that are comfortable, support and protect your back for long hours at the desk.

Q: My room includes hot pink, black, gold and a little bit of white. I love diamonds and most of my room is Victorian style. Any ideas about how I can fix this crappy chair?: That style chair is very classic. Paint it white and use some gold on the spindles, maybe stripe them. Find a chair cushion in velvet or ultra suede and add some beads around the edges or fringe you can find in any fabric store. You could even use fabric paint if the cushion is very plain and do a diamond pattern on it. Good Luck!
