- I turned my bed into a day bed and I love it, it makes the room a lot better but invest in a really good one. Be prepared to spend over 200$ and make sure you get a really comfy matteress. Also some day beds are bigger then others so makesure you get a bigger one. I am so glad I got a day bed. xx

- No,they are not at all comfortable for long stretches you would probably find yourself on the floor the first time you turned in your sleep.I have what we call a King single bed in Australia.It is longer wider than a normal single bed(I think you Americans call them twin beds,why I'll never know,lol) It is a very comfortable bed doesn't take up as much room as a double.

- Best suggestion go to a local pet store they carry a variety from small to large ones most with removable covers . Plus you should be bathing your dog and using something like Advantage to prevent fleas it kills both fleas ticks and their larva .

- I have an IKEA bed frame and used to have a mattress...the mattress from IKEA was terrible, i ended up with this huge dig in the middle and gave it to the Salvation Army, any mattress will fit, but you cannot use a box spring. As far as the slats, my bed frame ( a queen) has a metal brace down the middle and a metal rim that runs all the way around. I use one roll of slats on each side of the brace and throw the mattress on top. The slats basically hold the mattress. have you been to an IKEA store? You can touch, play, and jump on the beds there and you'll see. But DO NOT buy an IKEA mattress....worst purchase I;ve ever made...but i love everything else from IKEA!
