If the car still has a catalytic converter you shouldn't use any brand of diesel or racing oil which has high levels of zinc and phosphorus which are anti-wear additives. Zinc and phosphorus will shorten the life of the converter. There are several brands of pint containers at auto parts stores with zinc and phosphorus that you can add to regular oil to eliminate cam and lifter wear if the car doesn't have a converter. Toyota's have flat-cam followers but they get along fine with regular motor oil. If you stick a flat tappet cam kit in a rebuilt or older motor that doesn't have a converter, today's motor oil will not hack the mission without the zinc and phosphorus additive mixed with off the shelf motor oil. Most oil companies make special low viscosity racing oil which is expensive. The cheapest way out is the Winter weight diesel engine oil.
