Well, I don't know if this will help you any but I work in an office and spend a lot of time sitting down. It would be nice to have a chair that has adjustable lumbar support, the kind made out of the microfoam like the new mattresses that have been recently marketed - you know the kind that conform to your body. This way if the back of the chair is adjusted to support your upper back, the lumbar is not over looked. Currently, I have only seen office chairs that support one or the other but not both at the same time. Also, current markets have chairs that massage or vibrate. These are extremely costly and who wants to plug in their chair to an electical outlet or recharge its batteries. I am thinking that if there were a way to create a warming or cooling sensation this might assist with the blood circulation and may be relaxing too. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

The purpose of a lumbar support on an office chair is to maintain the natural curvature of your back known as Lordosis. When properly set it should be adjusted to support the lower part of your back in the area roughly between your waistline and the rear of the bottom of your ribs. When it's correctly positioned it prevents the lower part of your back from straightening or curving outwards, try to sit back in your seat to make sure it makes good contact with this part of your back.

You will not be able to rent the chairs themselves for $3 or less. Even most chair COVERS rent for about $3/each. Google in chair rental companies in Austin. I did find one, but to rent the chairs you want it would be $7/each.

No explanation required. Dance with the chair....put the music on really loud, if someone notices you....act like you are the normal one, and they are the freak for even thinking that dancing with a new chair is odd. Maybe if enough people come over, and they bring a chair on wheels, this could evolve into a party. Probably be huge fun! Make up tons of crazy games and races and things to do with the chairs.
