- Budde is right. Place the ground onto the chassis. Make sure the metal is not painted - if it is, sand the paint off. DO NOT go to Home Depot for advice. They have given so much WRONG information they make me sick.

- An okorder / Yes you do need a separate power cable for any SATA devices, but that enclosure uses a small controller board to make a single cable design possible.
- Q:When doing competition, is there a rule where your battery in the back can't be bigger than the one in the front? Are Monster Cables as good as they perceive to be???? I.E. their 400 series cables that are wound in different arrays to optimize each frequency out put? Can a Power cable actually provide more efficiency if constructed right, once again, their 400 series?Subwoofers being 1000 RMS but only getting 500, will running them at their RMS make a significant difference?
- Power cables are very very important when running a comp set up. You want as much current running through as you can possible get. Same goes for your ground, you want it to be just as good. Monster Cables are a very good brand of cable. RMS is basically the wattage a speaker can take continuously. If you run twice as many watts through your amp it will be significantly louder and boost your SPL.
- Q:This is a very small system, just a tape deck, cd player, mp3 input, and a phono pre. This is then run from the L and R outputs from the mixer into a 2 channel EQ, then to a power amp (2x250 @ 2ohm), and from there to 2 vintage kustom speakers.Should I be using TRs or TS cables for all of these connections?FYI the speakers are about 25ft from the power amp on the opposite side of the room

- Q:I'm installing a new hard drive and I need an extra power cable. Thing is, I've only got one in my computer (15 pin SATA) I have a spare SATA port for the data, so that's not a problem. Anyone know of any multipliers or some way i can add an extra power cable?Thanks in advance
- you are able to split the capacity cable with a a million--to--2 capacity connection. yet you are able to't split an information cable (the flat pink one). you choose yet another cable and a 2d connection on the MB. If no 2d connection, you may get a SATA card to flow in a PCI slot. Have performed the two between the above.
- Q:I'm running a 3ghz ecs p965t with 2gb of RAM, and I'm trying to install an XFX 8800GT. First time I tried it, it didn't power on at all, and I figured it might be the power supply (mine was a 350w) so I tried a friend's 450w, still no power. So I went out and bought a 500w, and STILL no power. Wierder still, if I leave the card plugged into the board but don't plug in the power connector, it makes a long high-pitched wailing sound but the system does power itself.I'm assuming it must be a problem with the card itself, but does anyone have any other possibilities I could try before negotiating a replacement in PC World?
- I think its the card. This is not uncommon. Card sounds DOA. Exchange it. 500 watts is good, the others are not, but lack of power would not kill a card, I don't believe. good luck. 8800GT is a sweet card, thats what I have, I play at 1920x1080 and get between 40 and 60 FPS in far cry 2 and great frames in oblivion maxed out. I get around 30 in crysis on high.

- follow your power supply unit (PSU) main loom and try to find one that is the same on the video card if there is not one you should have at least one of those 4 pin ones it is usally white or black about 5mm thick and 25mm wide you can get adaptor plugs I had to get some for my new video card just goto to a decent computer store and they will have them I paid about $4 for each and they had 2X6pin from the one adaptor plug
- Q:i just moved from canada to asia and the voltage in canada was 110 and here its 240 so i have a ps3 and i plugged it into a converter(converts voltage). After im done playing i noticed that the power cable is warm and you could move the two positive and negative prongs very easily as if they were about to come out of the cable. I have no idea what to do HELP!!!!!!!
- You need a good power converter (appropriately rated for the PS3's power consumption) with a proper American style socket, or replace the PS3 power cord with one better fitting to the receptacle on the converter transformer.
