Bed bugs only thrive in excessively filthy, run down conditions. Unless your bed is in a seedy motel or you just bought your mattress from Good Will, you'll be fine. Also, bed bugs are like mosquitos and bite you during the night leaving a puffy, itchy spot on your body. Unless you've been waking up itchy for the last however long, you don't have bed bugs.

Q:Really want to get a captains bed for our 2 1/2 year old boy. Twin size. And a captains bed is the kinds that have drawers under the bed. Is it safe to have him in a bed w/o rails he's in a toddler bed right now. He's tall so I would make sure to get one that he can get in and out of with ease

Go for it, however I would get a guard rail to put up until you can be sure he won't roll out of bed and fall on the floor and get hurt since I know those bed's tend to be a bit high. Also get a stool that was it is easy for him to get in. My cousin has a bed like that and he has a stool to get in and out. Not sure if he had a guard rail since he got it when he was 4.

I moved my toddler into a twin when she was three, mainly because we needed to convert the toddler bed back to a crib for the baby. But she loved her big girl bed. She got to have cool sheets and tons of pillows. In my case it was a huge success moving her to a bigger bed. It's all a matter of opinion. I have found that a bed is a bed. My daughter sleeps everywhere, on the floor, in the truck, on the sofa. Where ever her head hits when she is sleepy so changing her bed was no big deal. There is no right or wrong in this, does she fall out of bed? Does she toss and turn a lot while sleeping? ^.^ Good luck, I know this isn't that helpful but I changed beds when my daughter was three and no issues here.

Loft beds are great for creating usable space and storage. I built one for my nephew and under one end we put a corner computer desk and on the other end we made a media center. Everyone admires it. There are two issues with a loft bed... one heat rises and it tends to be warmer than the rest of the house unless you have adequate ventilation/cooling. Two, after a while people sometimes get tired of having to climbs the stairs before crawling in.

I normally go to bed at around 11 or 12. The doors for school open at 7:30. I wake up around 5:50, by the time I get ready, eat, and I also take the bus.
