Q:I keep reading online that pets cannot carry bed bugs, however in our home that doesnt seem the case.I have ONLY spotted bed bugs on my dog and on her bed and couch. I have been trying to battle this pesky insect for a bit now, but haven't ever thought of the dog being the problem. She is a boxer, so the bugs are easy to spot on her and I can tell she has been itching recently.I now wash my sheets on a daily basis and replaced my mattress with the scare. But I have not had one bed bug ever in my room, nor a bite on me.

It's probably a tick and not a bed bug.

Q:I cannot decide if I should get my kids bunk beds, regular twin beds or loft beds. I have one boy and one girl (they have their own room) so they don't really need bunk beds but a few friends have suggested bunk beds for extra room for sleepovers. I like loft beds b/c my kids rooms are small and they leave extra space underneath for a bookshelf a desk or just for playing. At what age will they outgrow or not want bunk beds or loft beds and prefer a regular grown up bed. If your child has a loft bed-do they like it? any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Twin, bunk or loft beds are all great for a small room. If you don't need the storage space under it you can get a twin bed with a pullout bed underneath. That leaves room for your kids to play and only has to be pulled out for sleepovers. Ask your kids what they would like. Good luck.

Q:I am considering getting my almost 3 year old a new twin-size or set of bunk beds. I'm not sure if anyone has had experience with younger children and bunk beds and if it was good/bad? Any problems going from toddler size to twin size?

I think it depends on the children. I can't say I would put them in a toddler bed, the weight limit on most only goes up high enough for a 4 year old so that might be a waste of money. Is there room for 2 twin size beds? I can tell you this. At age 2 1/2 my oldest was sleeping in a loft type bed (like a bunk bed without the bottom bunk, it has a fort type area underneath). He's still in it at 4 1/2 and has never once fallen out or had any problems at all. It does have a tent over the top of it so that would help prevent him from falling. But, he does not move at all when he sleeps; he is a VERY deep sleeper. I have an 18 month old and there is no way he will be going in that bed until close to age 4 (at least), he moves around all night long. I think that is a big factor when considering a bunk bed for a young child.

Q:Do you make your bed every morning, or do you leave it the way it is? It's just going to get messed up anyway.. ?

Some days I leave it, but most days I make it. Not making the bed is like parking the car and leaving the door open.

It doesn't matter about the brand just the thread count, you can buy at Macy's, Bed bath and Beyond, even home goods have great sheets but u gotta get lucky.
