it is not a side effect of the meds but they may have relaxed you so much that you did not receive the signal to wake up that your bladder was full. It happens especially when your body is adjusting to new muscle relaxant or sleep inducing medications. To avoid the problem reduce your fluid intake about 2 hours before bed and go pee right before going to bed. If you feel you need to set an alarm to go off every 3-4 hours to wake you up to go pee until your body adjust to the new meds

Most of the beds are pretty hypoallergenic. You want avoid anything with cedar or wood chips. But the ones filled with foam with washable cotton covers should be OK. Is it possible his bed was washed with a soap that is triggering the reaction? Just a thought.

Q:My son turned 3 last month and he still sleeps in my bed! We are trying to have another, but if we have another there will not be any room for my husband in the bed! Now aside from getting a bigger bed any suggestions??

I had the same problem with my 3yr old son, he's now 4. I put a twin mattress beside our bed and he slept there and liked it, then we slowly moved him into his room and now he thinks he's a Big Boy for sleeping in his own room. Good Luck!

Take him to a doctor to find out why he wets the bed, he may have an underdeveloped bladder. Explain to him that a lot of people wear something extra to bed to protect themselves and the bedding and bed. Buy a hospital type of bed pad to put under him at night. Make sure he doesn't drink after 6 pm and make sure he always goes to the bathroom before going to bed. ***** Keep checking on him during the night.... find out about what time he wets the bed, then you may be able to prevent it if you wake him and take him to the bathroom.

Q:My boyfriend has two 3 yr old boys. They come to our house once a month. We would like to buy them beds. Would you get toddler beds or would you get bunk beds? My boyfriend is concerned about bunk beds, he doesn't want them sleeping up high. But I think they could both sleep on the bottom for a while but he doesn't want them to sleep in the same bed because they move around alot a night. What would you do?

I think you can get bunk beds that seperate into two beds. That way you could have them as two regular beds now, and you could change them to a bunk bed when they get older and need more space to move around. I wouldn't bother with toddler beds. I think those are a money making scheme. Regular height beds are just fine.
