- Q: Many schools I visited claim to teach styles like white crane and even Okinawa/Japanese Karate has come from white crane styles, however I seldom see techniques, kata, forms, or drills that encompass crane concepts of even crane movements. Why is that? At some traditional schools kung-fu/karate it is easy to see the animal influence but at others there is none. Does this also indicate a lack of understanding or incomplete training. What do you think.
- Similarly, karate systems like Goju-Ryu and Uechi-Ryu clearly have some of the same movement patterns. Edit: To Internalize proper form and function often calls for a tangible example, like an animal Disagree. People aren't shaped like birds. We've figured out how to do TONS of stuff with our bodies (hit baseballs, high jump, breaststroke, pole dancing, etc) without looking to animal sources. Fighting is no different. Humans fight like humans. If we should look to any animals, it should be other primates, but again, we lack some of the attributes they have. Never seen a gorilla throw a jab, but it's pretty much been acknowledged by numerous sources as the most important punch in fighting, for example.
- Q: What were author Stephen Crane's war beliefs?Details would be nice... what were his views on war and what do you base it on?
- The Pluralistic Philosophy of Stephen Crane by Patrick K Dooley - 1994 The Poetry of Stephen Crane by Daniel G Hoffman, Professor Danlel G Hoffman - 1971 - 304 pages the sources of Crane's philosophy and art are as yet undeciphered I know he was a son of a Pastor, did not live long and I never liked his RBC book (Red Badge of Courage RBC the term for red blood Cells), but hope the above help.
- Q: How does the torque of a construction crane relate to the torque of a car?
- Torque is force x distance. In a car, the torque is the force twisting the drive axles, and the distance is the radius of the driving wheels. It controls the rate of acceleration of the car. In a crane, the force is that provided by the winch cable, and the distance is the length of the jib. It controls the weight the crane can lift.
- Q: Okay, like a week ago I caught a daddy long legs (a crane fly) in my room with a mug and an envelope and I just left it there, when I removed it there were loads of little black dots on the envelope, I didn't really think about it cos I figured it was the coffee that was inside the mug or something. I got rid of most of them but didn't go out of the way if you know what I mean... And now there are loads of TINY little flies in my room. Could these be baby crane flies? Or something else? And if so how the hell do I get rid of them before they get huge and start reproducing all over again?!
- go to target and get a bug zapper its 2300 volts so when they hit the wires they are dead or spray poison in your room.
- Q: Crane lifts a 600-kg bin with an initial acceleration of 2 m/s^2. Determine the force in each of the supporting cables due to this motion.?
- F = ma Assume the crate is uniformly loaded, both cables will carry the same force F(AB)(4/5) = (600/2)(9.8 + 2) F(AB)(4/5) = 3540 F(AB) = 4425 N F(BC) = 4425 N F(B-Crane) = 600(9.8 + 2) F(B-Crane) = 7080 N As a form of exchange, please remember to vote a Best Answer from among your results. This is not the same as like or thumbs up which are also nice and do boost points, but only after asker awards initial points with their vote.
- Q: On the show Passions was Fox Crane ever sexually assaulted?
- he and several other male characters have been sexually assaulted. Oddly enough, men on the show are equally as likely to be violated as women. Fox Crane, Julian Crane, Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald, Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald, and Ethan Winthrop have all been victims of sexual assault. His individual character bio doesn't describe about it though.
- Q: What are the main technical parameters of a tower crane?
- Generally speaking, the main parameters of the tower crane are:Maximum amplitude unit MMaximum lifting height, unit MMaximum lifting torque unit KN.mMaximum lifting speed unit m/minMaximum lifting unit tRotational speed unit r/minVariable speed unit m/min or o/minWalking speed per unit m/minMotor power unit w......Please refer to the product manual.
- Q: I'm thinking of making a senbazuru for by boyfriend as our first anniversary gift but I'm not sure if it's appropriate. I know its usually given to couples as a marriage gift, but yeah...does it seem too much?Btw a senbazuru is 1000 paper Cranes strung together. Thanks for the help!
- Wow..it's cool. People said that anyone who folds 1000 paper cranes will have eternal good luck. Your boyfriend is so lucky to have you.
- Q: What is the most amount of weight lifted by any crane?
- Buffalo Hydraulic built a crane for NASA to lift their launch pads. The heavy one weighed about 5.4 million pounds, but the crane could handle 9 million if it had to.
- Q: I want to make a sculpture out of 1,000 paper cranes. I have sometime to work on it, but not months. Has anyone ever known someone to do this, or done this themselves? How much time should I allow for such a project?
- It depends on how big they are, and how fast you are at folding. If you can fold one crane a minute, 1000 minutes would translate to about 17 hours. How you then spread out 17 hours of paper folding is up to you.
