Q: i keep adjusting the throttle cable and and it either goes into forward and neutral or neutral and reverse there is they dont all work at the same time.
I agree with Richard, you need to be careful when you are setting these cables because someone could be seriously hurt if not done properly.Your throttle and shift cables are the same. You should hook them up in the control box first.Make sure when hooking them up you use the proper 1 for throttle and shift. To check this you can shift the control box and the one that moves first at the engine is the shift cable.Another way to check is the cables at the engine with the box in neutral 1 is longer then the other, the shortest 1 is the shift cable. If you have any doubts get yourself a manual.
Q: At the front of my boat there's a control box with the throttle/shift lever (foward is throttle, middle is neutral, back is reverse), the key hole, and the choke. The motor is a 1976 Johnson 85 horsepower. Will it be easy to find a replacement? Are these controls universal?
the controls are NOT universal. different cables with different ends, different ways they work and everything. are you saying this is a single lever control, when its int he middle its in nuetral and at idle. when moved just forward or just backward its in the respective gears, but is still at idle. and then when moved farther in that same direction the throttle increases? or is this a dual lever control, with seperate throttle and shift levers? if its the 2nd type, this might be your lucky day. last year i had to retire my 1976 johnson (parts not avaible anymore). i had to replace the control box and cables, as they wouldnt work with the new mercury. so, sitting behind my boat and intended for OKorder is a perfectly working control box and shift/throttle cables. even got teh wiring harness. i think you can send me an email through this. do so, and include pics of your current control box. perhaps we can help each other out.
Q: I want to link my laptop to my desktop to share files. is this possible to link them as a network with only a cat5 Ethernet cable? if so can i still do this if the laptop is running windows XP and the desktop Vista?
To plug two ports directly into each other you need a crossover cable, which you probably don't have. They're available at electronics stores. Otherwise you can get a hub for very cheap ( 20 online).
Q: Every time i ask this question it gets deleted. The last time i asked it. It wasn.t even deleted it was just gone. As if i never asked it.
It's used as a brainwashing tool, yes. Look at all the fools that voted for Obama. And all because a bunch of people on the tv told them to. You tell me.
Q: Hello, please does anyone have the codes for the:Quasar Tower VCR/TV/Cable-DSS Program Director MB Universal Control?
Quasar Universal Remote Codes
Q: I own a 2000 Subaru Legacy. I would like to add cruise control to it.What parts will I need? I know I will need to do some wiring, what wiring is necessary? Will the car's computer be capable with the cruise control? What parts will I need? I would prefer to use the original factory version of the cruise control.Thanks.
1. Cruise control brake switch. 2. Cruise control clutch switch (if standard transmission). 3. Cruise control module. 4. Cruise control actuator. 5. Cruise control servo cable. 6. Cruise control switch. 7. Cruise control vacuum lines. 8. Cruise control vacuum reservoir. 9. Cruise control vacuum pump. 10. Cruise control vent valve. 11. Cruise control vehicle speed/transducer sensor. 12. Cruise control complete wire harness. 13. Money and a lot of labor and a lot of time. 14. You need to check with the dealer to make sure that the current (ECM) will work.
Q: i want to just use one remote control, and im wondering how i can get the remote for my cable to adapt to my tv. it has a tv power button, i just dont know how to get it to work.

Q: I need to find out the advantages and disadvantages of overhead and underground cables please? The comparisons? Help would be appreciated
Buried power cables lose some power by inductance to the surrounding soil [sort of like the soil being the secondary winding in a transformer]. How much power is lost depends on the soil and especially on how wet it is. Also important are the length of buried cable, and whether the cable is high voltage/low current [more insulation problems] or low voltage/high current [more induction loss]. I sort of recall a friend saying [decades ago] that their local power company told them that if the wire to their cabin were buried [a couple of hundred feet] they would lose 1/3 of the power. Don't take that as gospel, though; I might misremember, or the friend might have misspoke, or the power company guy could have. Underground cables are usually less troubled by lightning and high winds. Squirrels probably gnaw on them less, too.
Q: Do stores like staples, radioshack, best buy etc. , sell beats monster cable with control talk in store not online ????
Lol staples dont sell the cable. uhhh best buy prolly does.
Q: I have a 90 Chevy 4wd with 5.7l and 700r4 tranny. Apparently I am not getting 12v power down to the torque converter via the wiring. My question is - what controls it? Is it involved in the switch on the brake pedal or is it electronically controlled somehow. Will it be easier to run 12v down to it and use a toggle switch to lock it when doing highway driving in OD? Any info on a temporary or permanent repair helpful!
Is your TV cable adjusted correctly? That can control shifting.
