- So I can't tell whether the cargo container is one ton (2000 lbs.) or ten tons (20,000 lbs.). For doing the problem, I'm using 2000 lbs., so you might have to multiply the answers by 10. Also, I'll use A and B for the cranes instead of I and II. (Vertical): A sin 30° + B sin 45° = 2000 == A + √2 B = 4000 (Horizontal): -A cos 30° + B cos 45° = 0 == -√3 A + √2 B = 0 Solve those equations simultaneously to get A = 4000/(1+√3) = 1464 lbs. and B = √(3/2) A = 1793 lbs. (Answers) The vectors are: A = 1464 (-i cos 30° + j sin 30° = -1268i + 732j (Answer) B = 1793 (i cos 45°i + j sin 45°) = 1268i + 1268j (Answer)

- Q: do they get the concrete blocks up that hang at the end? Do they use another type of crane to assemble them?
- Tower cranes assembly starts with the foundation of the crane with lot concrete blocks for fixing, then they fix the first bottom part of the crane then they fix the boom with the counter weights, when they want to extend the height, they fix a jack up machine which lift up the boom and then insert a vertical piece and so on till they reach the required height. During the first installation they use a small mobile crane and then after the crane it self lift and fix the pieces

- Of course you need specialised training! Crane operators have to sit several courses in safe crane operations. Crane operators tend to just work cranes and not help with general building work as they earn more money and it is only cost effective to have them on site when they are actually needing to use the crane.
- Q: This poor little guy has been out on my balcony where I smoke my cigarettes for two days now. One wing is badly mangled and he can't fly away, I thought to just let him work it out yesterday in hopes of him healing on his own somewhere, but today he was climbing on my leg as if asking for help and I feel horrible for him now...he's suffering, he hasn't gone far in at least 24 hours I feel I should feed him and give him water until he heals...what do crane flies even eat?? - Actually, to discredit Big Bill, the differences are scant. There are a collection of YouTube videos from Morio Higaonna's time spent in China doing a demonstration with white Crane artists. A lot of the differences are superficial. Hell, one form demonstrated by the White Crane guys started off like a Tomari Te kata, Wankan. There's also a video of Morio, Gushi( Pangai Noon/ Uechi Ryu), and two Chinese masters doing Saam Chim in comparison with Sanchin.
