Q: The car lift in a gas station operates with an air pressure of 2000 kPa. The piston of the car lift has a diameter of 30 cm. What is the mass of the largest car that the lift can raise??please help, thanks
This Site Might Help You. RE: if a ceramic dish says its safe for microwave can it go in the oven? I bough a ceramic bowl that says it is safe for dishwasher microwave ,and I want to make a pot pie in it, that needs to go in the oven ad be baked. is this ok?
Q: I live in Madera CA, and my car is pretty low for a stock vehicle. I would like to know where i can take it in Madera/Fresno to get lifted, i heard an add on the radio about a place but i forget the name. Any names of auto garages that can life my car would be helpful.-thank you
im sorry. but please learn to spell. there's spell check for a reason.
Q: A stuntman drives a car (without negative lift) over the top of a hill, the cross section of which can be approximated by a circle of radius R 227 m. What is the greatest speed at which he can drive without the car leaving the road at the top of the hill?
What a stunning, amazing question!!! the only hint right here which you like is locate the equation for centripetal tension. the vehicle will take off whilst the stress is triumph over. do not ignore to transform the respond from m/s to km/h!!!!!! ought to take you a optimum of two minutes to get the respond from interpreting this.
Q: In a hydraulic lift, the diameters of the pistons are 4.96 cm and 20.2 cm. A car weighing W 10.4 kN is to be lifted by the force of the large piston. (a) What force Fa must be applied to the small piston? (b) When the small piston is pushed in by 10.4 cm, how far is the car lifted? (c) Find the mechanical advantage of the lift, which is the ratio W/Fa.Any help would be appreciated. I‘m just looking to understand the problem!
The ratio of forces on each piston is proportional to the ratio of areas. So, if one piston has 3 times the diameter of another, it has 9 times the surface area, because the surface area of a circle goes as the square of diameter. Therefore, 1 N applied to the small piston generates 9 N of force at the large piston. However, the distance traveled by each piston goes as the INVERSE of the piston area. So, in my example, if you pushed the small piston down by 18 inches, the larger piston would move by only 2 inches (one ninth as far).
Q: the window of a moving car?
The large lift force you are feeling is due to the flat palm of the hand facing the air-flow at a angle to the horizontal. In this position the hand surface is colliding with air particles and defecting them downwards the hand is exerting a downward force on the particles and you feel the reaction force from the particles acting in the upwards direction. Most of the lift force generated by an aircraft wing during take-off ( with fuselage at a greater angle than the actual climbing angle) is generated in this way. Force acting on downward deflected air F downward rate of change of air momentum F ?(mv)/t (m/t)?v m/t mass of air deflected per sec with velocity change ?v Upward lift (reaction) force -F
Q: Is it just there to make it look aggressive and lowered? Is it because it looks good, different body kit styles. Is it to prevent scratching the bumper? It seems like having a lip would make it scratch even more cuz adding another accessory towards the bottom of the car.
Those lips, as you call them, are called 'spoilers in some circles. they are there to prevent air from concentrating in high-pressure areas under the car, Lift plus high speed can have catastrophic consequences. At normal street speeds, it's not an issue for most cars, but the body kits are there to make te car looj as though it's regularly driven fast.
Q: When I start a job like this I feel strong at first but over time of doing this kind of work mon through fri my body seems to waste away. and i get even weaker. how the heck does that happen when you‘re doing something active?
It will over time but I wouldn't suggest it too often. If everything is tight and the shocks when you bounce the car doesn't keep bouncing. If it does you need new shocks.
Q: I wanna get a 64 Impala but I wanna put 24‘s on it would I have to put a lift kit on it when I find one for the rims? Another vehicle I was looking to get was a 66 Chevy step side would that need a lift kit on it for the rims? The rim size I was wanting to put on it are 26‘s, also is painting with candy paint any different than other types of paint? I plan on doing all the work myself cause I don‘t wanna pay a sh^t ton of my money for a car I want made my way just to have someone else do it how they want it
Stock tire OD is 25.6 inches. If you can find a tire that has a .8 inch side wall you will not need to put a lift on it. That would be one hard ride! You can always blister the fender wells and tub it. This would not be the only changed needed! The speedometer and odometer would not read right. Off the line performance would be hurting because of the increased lever arm of the tires. The offset required to keep the scrub radius down might be impossible to find also. If you want the car to work right, consider staying with a 17 or less rim.
Q: When you take your car into the shop to have it worked on, a hydraulic lift is used. The diameter of the piston lifting your car is 2.5m, while the input piston has a diameter of only .1m. your car and the base it sits on have a combined mass of 1200kg. The oil used in this lift has a density of 800kg/m^3.How many apples would you need to place on the input piston in order to hold up your car? A medium apple weighs approximately one newton. When the car reaches a height of .15m, how many apples will it take to support the car?
