Q:Tile for bathroom floor?
Sure you can. Go to any reputable tile company. They should be able to supply and tell you to... 1st apply a flexible rapid set adhesive... 2nd then place on top a fiberglass mesh (this giving strength). pushing this onto the adhesive using the flat edge of the tool used to put the adhesive down.( doing a small area at a time and working your way to the door ) Once the adhesive is set, you again put another layer of adehsive down and your tiles. When set you can grout :-) This system will give you flex and strength so that you tiles will not move and crack, and raise the floor not much thicker the your chosen tiles. HAPPY TILING :-))
Q:How to identify the quality of ceramic tile and standard
(5) water absorption: the number of drops on the back of the tiles of tea juice or water, to be a few minutes later, depending on the degree of diffusion of water droplets, non-absorbent or low water quality is good quality; (6) hardness: percussion tiles to listen to the sound is crisp, the sound more crisp, porcelain degree, the higher the density, good hardness; (7) abrasion resistance: to scratch the tiles with sharp objects to observe whether it is scratched, if scratched, said the glaze wear resistance is easy, easy to slip, and the surface of the glaze polished, the brick surface Dirty will not be clean; (8) glazed pinhole: buy, within one meter to observe the surface with a pinhole, if any, that glaze is not fully integrated, easy to produce accumulation of dirt situation; (9) flatness: to see whether the naked eye tile side is straight, if the war situation is serious, will affect the future of the solid tiles paving;
Q:How to drill a large hole in ceramic tile?
Tile Hole Saw
Q:Can you use a glass cutter to cut tile?
You score tile with the glass cutter. For other than straight cuts those nippers are still useful.
Q:Were my vinyl tile/planks installed correctly?
The new vinyl floor should only have been applied to a good, sound and stable substrate. If the tiles underneath were chipping, flaking, bubbling or falling apart there is no way the new flooring should have been applied. Most asbestos tile comes up easily and requires basic Personal Protective Equipment. Not like asbestos pipe installation...the nasty stuff. Another option is to remove the loose tile and fill with a latex floor patch...not the best option, but OK for most. A better option is a 1/4 plywood underlayment on top of the tile and under the new vinyl. You still need to remove lose or bad tile and level uneven areas, but the new plywood underlayment will give you a much more stable surface. You'll need to prime the plywood with a floor primer and also consider a new threshold to account for the elevation difference.
Q:Help plezz? a 15ft by 18ft floor...How many green tiles and how many white tiles will be needed?
Draw a picture and use practical thinking plus arithmetic. Then just add up the area of the sections of tile.
Q:Tiling Tubs??????????
(s+2)^2-s^2 would provide the area of the tile border. It is equivalent to the area of the whole hot tub installation, including tile, minus the area of the tub itself. 4(s+1) would be a length in feet, and is not equivalent to any area. The perimeter of the hot tub is 4s, and the perimeter of the whole installation, including the tile is 4(s+2). 4(s+1), ignoring units, would give the number of tiles required for the border, which if multiplied by the area of one tile (1 ft^2) would give the area of the tile border. (s+2)^2-s^2 = s^2 + 4s + 4 - s^2 = 4s + 4 = = 4(s + 1) sq. ft. is also the area of the tile border. So they are the same, if you account for the difference in units.
Q:How to divide the tiles?
The state of the ceramic tile by the tile level is divided into A, B, C and so on. 1, A level. Class A use of the scope of unlimited, can be used in various places of home decoration. So the environmental performance of indoor tiles must meet Class A standards. The standard for the use of tiles for radioactive use is GB6566-2001. Class A decoration materials in the natural radionuclide radium radium-266, thorium-232, potassium-40 radioactive specific activity at the same time to meet the IRa ≤ 1.0 and Ir ≤ 1.3 requirements for the A class of decoration materials. 2, B grade. Class B decoration materials do not meet the requirements of Class A decoration materials but at the same time to meet the requirements of IRa ≤ 1.3 and Ir ≤ 1.9 for the B class decoration materials. Class B decoration materials can not be used for the interior of Class I civil construction, but can be used for the outer surface of Class I civil construction and the interior and exterior of all other buildings. 3, C level. Class C decoration materials do not meet the A, B class decoration materials requirements but meet the Ir ≤ 2.8 requirements for the C class decoration materials. Class C decoration materials can only be used for exterior finishes and outdoor use. Ir> 2.8 granite can only be used for monsters, seawalls, piers and other human rarely involved. According to the national standard level, tiles can be divided into two levels: 1, A grade goods A grade is the best grade, A grade is divided into AAA level, AA level and A level, AAA level is the best level. 2, B grade goods Class B products are slightly flawed products. Whether it is tiles according to the radioactive or standard provisions of the tile, we can find different tiles or have their own different nature.
Q:how do i find a match to my floor tiles?
If the tiles are not recent or a popular style, you will have to do a lot of looking. Why not use black?
Q:Bathroom - shower - tiles - grout?
Hopefully, all of your tiles have grout AND sealer. You can try plain ol' scrapping it off, but be careful not to scratch the tiles. Try using white vinegar to soften the grout, but be sure not to get any on the grout that you want to save. Use a small sponge, or even Q-tips. You may have to let it soak a few minutes. Also, try using a plastic scraper instead of a metal one, like a pan scraper. If you have any spare tiles, practice scraping to see if you're scratching the tile.
