1. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

- Q: whats the best way to remove it??? Put it on bathroom tiles but it is all chipping off and doesnt look pretty
- if you painted right over ceramic tile it should come off with a razor blade scraper -- if the paint is in the grout you may never get it off there-- not sure what type of paint you used -- some oil paints can be removed with laquer thinner or paint thinner ---

- Its called wire mesh. Its not used as much anymore. What makes tiles or grout crack is the wood below the tiles. If the floor joists are too far apart and the plywood is not thick enough it can cause the floor to move. Even a little bit of movement can cause the tiles and the grout to crack. The wire mesh will not help if the floor moves.

- I think that you can make tiles with resin. Just make a mold of a tile. A square mold, put the caps inside, then pour the resin inside and let it dry. It might work that way.

- Take pieces of the things to which you are committed and get thee to a large tile store. Go for the match and also check for contrast. You may surprise yourself and like the unexpected. Think about your soft good (fabric items) as you will have to find compatible fabrics to make it all work together. Taking samples of everything is really important, as your eye will not recall the subtleties. No one can possibly give a color answer here, as there are an infinite number of possibilities within a single color, some of them correct, others very very jarring to the eye when it all comes together. If part of your question is whether to select the same tile for both areas, my suggestion is usually, YES, to avoid the appearance of a hodge podge patchwork quilt.
- Q: If you were going to tile an entire room would you start from the walls or floor? The room is only small 12m walls 4m floor is a basic toilet basin. There are no border tiles no fllor to wall tiles.

- Q: Ok so my 17 year old SIL decided to clean the grout in our entry way using STRAIGHT bleach last night. I came home to find the ceramic tile COVERED in bleach!! Now, after mopping several times I still haven‘t been able to get all the bleach up AND our tiles are stripped!!! Any tips on getting the bleach up and then resealing? Total novice here and desperate for any kind of help!! Thanks!!
- You must have very porous tile like unsealed porcelain or terra cotta. What you need to do is rinse it very well to make sure no bleach is left then seal the tiles. Home Depot has tile sealer (not grout sealer - but you should get that too and use it AFTER you seal the tile). First get a terra cotta sealer and apply that. When it repels water that's sprinkled on it you can proceed to seal the grout. Get some penetrating grout sealer (Tile Lab makes a good one that HD carries) and apply that. It's easy. You just wipe it on let it sit a few minutes then wipe off any that hasn't soaked in. Apply 2 or 3 times until it repels water and you're good to go.
- Q: Tile setters? I paid someone to tile my bathroom floor using the 1 in hex tiles meshed together in 12 x 12 in pieces. Ive seen that type of tile done before and it each tile looks evenly spaced. The tiles he installed for me look like they were installed in 12 x 12 pieces as the perimeter of the meshed tiles has much wider grout lines than the interior. He says its normal and it happened because the floor is uneven but he installed the hardybacker himself so he should have leveled it.
- I can t believe these builders and tile setters didn t pick up on what you said..You said he installed the backer board and should ve leveled the floor. Un even grout will occur if the floor isn t flat so the installer is right about that. But he was wrong in doing a job that had a floor that wasn t flat. Part of his duty when bidding or time of installing is a floor inspection. And he should ve brought it to your attention and tell you that it ll be a bit extra to fix it or tell you that you have a dip or hump. It may have been a simple fix or something costing some money, I can t see it from here. Give him a chance to fix it. - Q: I want to install vinyl over a tile floor. What procedures should I take? What adhesive? What prep on the ceramic?
- You should definitely remove the tile as well as the underlayment for the tile. Screw down the subfloor to the floor joist so that the new floor doesn't squeak. Install vinyl underlayment, crack fill the joints and install your vinyl flooring. Be sure to pay attention to your threshold where the new floor meets the old floor at the door openings.
