FAQ:
Q1: Are electronics cheap in Okorder.com?
A: Of course. They are very cheap. The factories provide the goods. One-stop sourcing.
Q2: Why are electronics so cheap in ok order?
A: On ok order they are the lowest price. Because it is a wholesale website and factory provide goods.
Q3: Do all electronics have silicon in them?
A: No but most modern ones do. Older electronics that don't require micro chips don't have to have silicon at all, and their mother boards are made from copper. Silicon is used in micro chips as a semi-conductor in modern electronics but some other semi-metals, like gallium and germanium can also be used. Silicon is just the most common because it is so plentiful.

Q:I have a built-in card reader in my laptop, which the computer no doubt thinks is a USB reader. Because of this, Windows shows it in the Safely Remove Hardware thing. Is there a way I can make it not show up? I am running XP Pro SP3.
no The computer doesn't THINK anything. You can't remove those empty drives from My Computer and keep them functional, any more than you could remove your Optical drive from your My Computer listing. You *did* notice how even when you don't have CD in the drive, the optical still shows up. right? That's the SAME thing as the card reader showing up without a card in the slot. Same thing. SAME THING. To reiterate, no, there isn't a way to disable that without actually disabling the card reader. If you are easily confused by the drive letters, try renaming your main hard drive away from Local drive to something easier for you to remember. If you are anal retentive and just the thought of those empty drives showing up in My computer makes your skin crawl, even when you are not looking at them get over it or take your medication. But that whole thing about having to treat a memory card like a USB device you are SUPPOSED to tell the computer you want to remove the flash memory before you actually remove it. Not following procedure can and will damage flash memory. Vista takes things one step further. If you don't follow protocol, Vista wants to scan your flash card every time you put it in afterwards, to ensure it is not damaged.

Q:I have a Hp Pavilion zt3000 with an SD Card Reader and it works fine with a normal sd card, but with a Micro sd card adapter for a micro sd card it wont read it?Any solutions?thanks
how big is the micro sd card any sd card larger then 2 gb will not be able to be read on a normal sd reader. does the card say SDHC?The communication protocols for the SDHC / SDXC / SDIO families are slightly different from those of the established SD family, which has caused older host devices to not recognize the newer card families. When an SDHC or SDXC card is inserted into an older SD host device, it shouldn't cause any physical or electrical damage to either the card or host device, though the host device won't be able to recognize the card. Some older host devices don't correctly handle 2 GB and/or 4 GB SD cards since they use larger blocks. Most incompatibility issues can be resolved with a firmware update, but unfortunately vendors rarely correct issues in older host devices Edit: Im afraid not! You can go get an external reader! there like 10 bucks!
Q:I need to know if a SDHC card reader will read regular non HC SD cards or vise versa.
Yes, but this reverse is not necessarily true, in that your gaming device may not handle an SDHC card, as they are formatted completely differently from SD cards.
Q:What are the application areas of the card reader?
As we all know, the examination room there are all kinds of problems: fake ID card examination, test and other acts, seriously undermined the normal order of the examination room, disrupt the fair and equitable examination room;
Q:I wanted to know if it's possible to use my digital camera as a card reader for my PC. I have other files on an SD card which I transferred from a laptop with a card reader but I'm home now and can't access the files. When I plug in my camera, my PC starts to sync with it and allowing me to view and copy the pictures and videos taken but I can't access non-video/picture files. How can I make it so that my PC recognizes my camera as a removable hard drive rather than a camera?
You have 2 ways to get pics from your camera to your PC. 1. Thru the cable: quite complicated if you dont know anything about tech. You have to install the osft in the disc. comes with your camera, then plug your camera by the cable in the box too. 2. Buy a memory reader card, it should be an USB plugin gadget. You plug it, get the memory card from your camera, put it to the card reader, then copuy/past/delete the file as usual.
Q:I am currently traveling overseas and have two digital cameras with me: Canon Rebel DSLR and a smaller Canon Powershot. Internet cafes will not let me upload my photos via the USB cable because the cameras' software is not installed (nor do I have it with me). Wondering if I can simply buy a memory card reader and upload directly from that? Or will I need any additional software? Thanks for your help :)
a card reader should work as the pc will recognise it as a mass storage device
Q:I am like technologically challenged, and the laptop I want has a built in card reader. It is labeled 7 to 1. I dont know what that means, does that mean it will fit regular SanDisk SD cards???please help!!!
That means it has 1 drive that will read 7 different types of memory cards. You know, the memory cards that go into camera. You say you have an SD Card (SanDisk)? That is a VERY popular standard and I would bet my life that the SD is one of those 7 types of cards that your laptop can read.
Q:I put the card in and it doesnt show up pn the computer.
if your reader doesn't show, you need to reinstall the chipset and card reader drivers. If your reader is there, but your card isn't it could be a bad reader, a bad card, an improperly formatted card, a bad adapter or MOST LIKELY you are using a SDHC card in an SD reader. MOST computers use SD, most cell phones use sdhc. sdhc is backwards compatible but Computers don't have the same push for miniaturization that cell phones do. ALSO many cell phone mfgrs lock out reading data such as pics and music on other devices because they want you to pay for a plan so they set the firmware to not allow transfer. Look for the SD or SDHC logo on your card. Try your card in another device
Q:Why is the charger hot?
So there is basically no PFC circuit, so the power factor is only less than 0.7, the rest of the energy is basically converted into heat.
