Q:What is the best pressing cream or oil that i can purchase and that also stops hair from reverting so easily?
Every hair stylist i've been to doesn't use any. Moisturize your hair before and after you press it. I just use simply gloss after i've blow dryed it. Then I apply more gloss after it done.
Q:I'm looking to purchase a coffee pot for my upcoming apartment. As an avid coffee drinker and a bargain shopper, I'm looking into everything. I had a friend recommend a french press as well as some other brand name appliances. What are the differences and similarities to having a french press? What other things do I need to purchase along with a press and how does the coffee compare to ordinary pot making coffee?? Thanks!
some people say that coffee from a french press is much more flavorful, and I agree with them. The way it works is that the coffee grounds steep in hot water longer and you get much more flavor from the coffee grounds. A regular coffee maker works with dripping hot water through the coffee grounds. A lot of people like this method also. It's also very convenient for making a lot of coffee. The cons on making coffee with a french press is that you need coarse ground coffee. All preground stuff is made for regular coffee makers. Also, it's a hassle to clean a french press. Also, you can't make large quantities of coffee with a french press, unlike a coffee maker. If I were you, I would find a french press at a thrift store since they always have used ones for cheap there. Try it out and decide. edit: youtube has great vids on how to use a French press.
Q:i want to press the flowers that my boyfriend gave me, can i still do that when they are dried?
What i always do is cut off most of the stems, get a dictionary and put them in the middle and pile books on top of that dictionary. In 4 days or so, they are perfectly pressed! (:
Q:I want to get my mom a panini press for her birthday and I can't decide which kind to buy?I want something that will last a long time and not super ginormous.help!
Look also for media noche presses. They are the ones used to make Cuban sandwiches. It is just another name for the same item. Serch for both on Froogle dot com. That will give you a alot of options and access to the cheapest prices on the net.
Q:Can I use ground espresso in a French press coffee maker?Would this be too strong? Would it make a mess?
Yes, you can, but as the other responder wrote, the filters in a French press are coarser than the filters in an espresso machine, so the resulting coffee will contain some coffee ground residue, but the flavor should be fine. Generally you need a coarser grind for a French press. The same type of grind that you would use in a standard drip coffeemaker would work well in a French press.
Q:I am a freelance writer and I want to be professional when conducting interviews. I do have business cards that I had done stating that I am a freelance writer, yet is that enough? Should I produce my own press pass for credential purposes? If so, how and where can I get one?
In the old days, you could buy a press pass from various companies advertising in the back of the writer's magazines. Now, of course, you can buy a $15 laminator at OfficeMax and call yourself whatever you like. But that only gets you so far. Most press passes have authorization information on them, a contact someone can call to verify that you're really on an assignment. Many events also require you to pre-register to get their press credentials. I suggest you also consider having some contact cards printed up (VistaPrint does some nice work) ... these can be presented to those you meet, greet and interview to convey the image you desire. When I meet someone I hand them one and identify myself as writing an article for the local newspaper rather than being from the local newspaper. Good Luck.
Q:i bench press every day and i was told that i would get no where doing that. and what is the best protien i can get if i want to get as strong as i can get in 3 months.
Dude, if you want to get seriously stronger and i mean SERIOUS then start hitting the BARBELL SQUATS... the squats is the King of all excercises cause it hits your quads, glutes, hams, abs even shoulders but actually it also hits around your upper body cause it sends a distress call to your whole body which also releases the most growth hormones through out your whole body. Trust me if you can squat your weight or even more you will become already overall strong.
Q:I need to know the definition of partisan press for my government exam, does anyone know what it is?
Partisanship Definition
Q:I was really bored in the weekend and decided to press some flowers from my garden, i put a few fuchsia, pink rose petals, orange rose petals, and an array of leaves i found in the garden, i put them in an heavy book with my dads lifting weights, i checked them yesterday and the fuchsia are brown, is this normal? anyway, i want to make a picture out of this, any ideas, i want to frame it in my living room, will it last?
You can't press roses because they crumble. You can dry them out and thats it. You can press posies, asters, and carnation petals but not roses. You can press leaves, pine needles and seed but not roses. Now forget about pressing those roses and go do the dishes.
Q:The gym that I go to does not have any barbells (health and safety gone mad) for doing bench presses. But... they do have a chest press machine which is essentially the same as a bench press but you are sat up-right instead of lying down.Am I working the exact same muscle groups by doing a chest press, obviously I know it's working the pectorals and the triceps as a secondary muscle group so it is basically the same? Is either one better than the other? My other option if a chest press is not as good as a bench press, is to do a bench press in the gym just with 2 dumbbells as appose to a bar bell. Please give your thoughts...Thanks!
The Bench Press is better, that's why you hear a lot more about it on the internet and in the gym.
