- Q:This is a self built computer. When using it in a different room, it functioned normally. However, now that I've moved it to a new room, it would constantly reboot or just loses power entirely. With the latter, I would have to remove the power cable and hold the on button for a while before I could turn it back on. Also, when I shut it down, the computer would reboot by itself instead.
- Hi There, I would suggest shutting it down, unplugging the power and holding the power button on for a few seconds to discharge any remaining power. Next open the side cover and check all the cables to make sure none have worked loose while moving to the next room. While the case is open would be a good time to blow out any dust, etc inside and clean any air filters. Hope this helps, Al
- Q:My girlfriend recently damaged (beyond repair) her hp touchsmart tm2 notebook pc Power Cable. I was wondering if laptop power cables are pretty generic, or is there a specific one that i need to order?
- I busted my Compaq laptop power cord a few months back and I was able to find another at Walmart to replace it - it set me back $75 which sucked but it was a fairly easy replacement. I imagine you'll find the same to be true with your HP. Good luck.
- Q:I would like to buy a replacement. What AC/DC adaptor should I buy? Should I buy the exact same model (FSP150-AAA)? I assume any AC/DC adaptor that has the same spec is ok but I am not sure what is the key for the spec. Any advice would be appreciated.
- There appear to be various manufacturers of FSP150-AAA power supplies. You must have a substantial laptop or whatever that is powering. Most laptops have 65 to 90 watt PSU, my gaming laptop is 120 watt, and FSP150-AAA is 150 watt. Or is that an all-in-one PC where the computer is built into a screen? The one you link to is one of the ones I found in a web search.
- Q:The Leader of the band inists that all power cables connected to the amplifires be placed away from the performance area.
- To prevent injury to performers and to protect equipment from potential shorts and for fire safety.
- Q:will my PSone power cable work on my ps2?
- If you mean on the fat PS2 then it will. The PlayStations work with each others cables, so the PS2's cables will work on the PS1 (That's how I have mine set up) and vice versa.
- Q:Hey, my parents just bought me a turntable and I have no idea where one of the cables would go into a normal stereo or what I might need to buy to be able to plug it to a normal modern stereo.
- Sheesh, some people's answers. This is not a dumb question. I suspect it was for a custom hookup by the manufacturer. It is not standard. Try hooking the other cables up, and I would start with the AUX input. If the turntable sounds fine, then you are set. If the sound is very weak and thin, then plug them into PHONO jacks. If you don't have phono inputs, then you need what is called a phono preamp, which I think you can get from Radio Shack (maybe RS online). If you need that preamp, don't forget to buy another set of short cables. This should get you going. A lot of new receivers do not have phono jacks on them, so this may be a little harder to work out, but if it is all working gear, it should work. Good luck! Update on what you added: Oh oh! If it's electrical supply, then you have to ascertain that it is a 120 volt system if you are going to try to work with it. However, you do need to know how to do electrical wiring to mess with this. If it isn't 120 volt, you may be SOL. There may be a plate with voltage on it, or you may find it stamped on the motor. Are you sure you want to continue? Then you have to figure out where the wires go, and assign them what part of the electrical (hot, neutral, or ground) they belong. Still want to continue? Then you have to wire them appropriately and SAFELY to where they belong. This would be easy for me to tackle, but unless you know about wiring and the like, I would rather not pick up the paper to read about your horrible fire from a mis-wired turntable. If you want a turntable, try Radio Shack - they still sell them last time I looked. Sorry I couldn't be more help!
- Q:I have digital cable through Cox. The receiver is plugged in, and the electricity is fine, but it won't turn on! Please help! I don't want to pay for repairs!
- If your not getting any power to the box no little green lite or humming noise coming from the box then its dead. your just going to need to get the box replaced you should be able to just bring your box in and trade it out to avoid a service call charge.
