Q: Cannot find a path to send the power cable for the amplifier through: The firewall is the bulkhead between the Passenger compartment and the engine bay. Look for a rubber grommet in the firewall/bulkhead that has existing wires going through it and use this. Some firewalls have grommets that you can use to pass your power cable through from the battery. Remember to put an in line fuse on th live cable of the correct rating.

Q: im upgrading amps from 200 to 1000 and i was wondering if the cables will restrict the current at all? right now i have a 225 watt cord set: The first consideration is how much power can your speakers handle without self destructing? My opinion is that few can productively handle more than a couple of hundred, and that would be for very brief peaks. The average listening level in a domestic situation is on the order of a few watts - 10 or less. If you really have speakers that can handle that amount of power, and you want to deliver it efficiently, then you need to keep the 2-way resistance of the wires from the amps to the speakers at less than 10% of the speaker impedance. So for 4 ohm speakers (worst case) you want the line resistance to be below 0.4 ohms. For a 50 ft (100 ft 2-way) cable run, that suggests 16 AWG minimum wire gauge for each speaker. Your existing RCA cables should be OK assuming they only carry low level signals. If your present power service and grounding are on a 15 or 20 Amp branch circuit (US) , and no other heavy appliance loads (refrigerator, washer, airconditioner) are on that branch, then it is OK for the new amps.

Q: Hey guys, I noticed that with heavy use of the power cord to my laptop, a part of the rubber surrounding the cord is open near the insertion part and you can see the wires. I'm just curious how dangerous it is. I don't have another power cord for my laptop, so do any of you have a recommendation for what I can do?: Use a Popscle stick, cut in half and then attached it with black tape, This will cover texposedoed wires and will also keep the wires straight and keep them from bending. Q: lost the original cable at a gig, but I have another cable. the outlet on the Behringer guitar amp reads quot;Use only with 250V fuse, but right above the outlet it reads 220-240 with a upside down triangle next to it (not sure if this represents volts or not...I know obviously V stands for volts, but this is a upside down solid triangle.)My power cable/cord that i found reads 10A 250VI know i should probably purchase one direct from the manufacture, but that is not possible right now. It does fit into the back of the amp perfectly.: Assuming you're in a place where the outlets provide 220 to 240 volts, it's fine. The 250 volts on the power cord just means it's good for *up to* that.

If your pickie about your computer like I am, then you can purchase a new power supply, but there really isnt any need.
