Cross bedding simply means that the beds are inclined (instead of horizontal), while graded bedding means that the base is made up of coarse sediments and the top of the bed is made of finer sediments. I think. So I guess a bed can be inclined with its sediments having a coarsening sequence. I'm not sure though. Where does it say that cross bedding can also be graded bedding?

We had a bad bed bug infestation years ago, and this is how we get rid of bed bugs without having a professional exterminator or replacing a mattress. First of all, remember that bed bugs cannot live with heat over 120 degrees. So wash all your bedding items with HOT water and use a steam cleaner on the mattress and the carpet. that kills live bed bugs. After everything is dried, apply BedBugPowder directly on the mattress. Then put the sheet on the mattress. You can also put the powder on the carpeted floor as well. You can buy the powder from the site below. And it is inexpensive, but worked very good on our bed. We did try sprays, foggers, bomb and even professional exterminators. But bed bugs came back after a few weeks later. And as we were researching what to do with bed bugs, we happened to find a guy showing how to use the powder on YouTube. I did not believe it at first, but it was only 20 bucks or so, we bought it and it worked!! And we are still using the same mattress as the one infected before. The powder is also safe to humans and animals and is 100% organic. So even if you have kids or pets, you can use it without worrying about it. at bed bath and beyond they have reallly cute twin dorm bedding usually in dorms (or so i have heard) the twin beds are a little longer than a regualar bed. at bed bath and beyond they have custom made for dorm bedding.

Bed bugs and fleas are horrible to get rid of. I would look online to get an idea of what you are dealing with. I got a few bites that kind of looked like bed bug bites and I took my baby daughter's all natural no chemical bug spray and sprayed our sheets with it and I haven't had a bite since. Just an idea.

Do NOT use wood shavings unless you are sure they're aspen. Other types of shavings can be harmful to a rats lungs. Also, I don't suggest using straw. If the rats are playing around and one of them turns around, they could stab their eye on a stiff piece of straw. It also doesn't seem like it would do much absorbing either.

You never NEED a bed skirt. If your bed sits high then I'd suggest you not get one would look weird seeing as most skirts are designed to touch/almost touch the floor great for those ppl that like hiding stuff under their bed. My guest bedroom has a sleigh bed which is kinda high off the ground and my husband and I have a bed that I need a little step up to get into neither has a bedskirt would look kinda tacky. Depending on how high your bed sets should determine if you'd want to skirt it or not

dont be too afraid of these critters. ur bound to have a few in the carpet of yoru own bedroom. bedbugs are everywhere and they are nearly impossible to get rid of unless u fumegate ur whole house. I doubt households would have many bedbugs, but hotels etc would have heaps. they are nocturnal and sense by heat, at night they find their way to u and suck your blood. only a few types of these bugs leave a bite. i think the worst bug (which is very rare) is the kiss beetle, they have been known to incapacitate someone. but do not be scared of that because they are RARE. the common bed bug looks like a really small tick or mite.
