Yes, plastic tubes can be used for drainage systems. Plastic drainage pipes are widely used due to their durability, flexibility, and corrosion resistance. They are commonly used in residential, commercial, and agricultural applications for various types of drainage, including stormwater, wastewater, and foundation drainage systems.

Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to both abrasion and scratching. They are designed to withstand rough handling, repeated use, and exposure to various environmental conditions without losing their integrity or being easily damaged.

Q:When a mechanic wants to empty a gasoline tank of a car,he fills a plastic tube with gasoline, dips one end of the tube into the gasoline in the tank, and puts the one end at a empty drum lower than the gasoline tank of the car.Why does this technique work?
It is called siphoning. It is where a liquid will always travel to the lowest point, when and only when, no air is present. This is the reason the pipe is filled with gas before putting it into the tank.
Q:i have an amp installation kit, with a 0 gauge power wire, i'm assuming since there is no split loom tubing that came with the complete kit, that it will be unnecessary because the power wire is so thick?
I'd protect it further - Especially if it goes thru sheet metal or outside the passenger compartment. I've run power feed wire thru plastic tubing, when it is under the body, just to be safe.
Q:What are the different shapes of plastic tubes?
There are various shapes of plastic tubes, including round, square, rectangular, oval, and triangular.
Q:Why do all squeeze tubes have a square at the top?
Do you mean at the portion furthest from the opening with the cap? Because the tube is filled from the end that is furthest from the opening with cap. Years ago (before flexible plastics existed) all tubes were made from a thick aluminum foil, the cap was put on it, the tube was filled from the opposite end from the cap, and the tube was sealed after filling by folding the open end over a few times and crimping it, which always produced a square end. Now adays with plastic tubing, which is sealed by melting the tube end together you could make it have pretty much any shape, but due to tradition a square end is still used, because that is what customers are used to buying.
Q:I have a Katadyn Vario pump for camping and haven't used it in eons (7 years or so) and I took it apart to clean it.For now, and for future reference, how can I clean the actual intake/outlet plastic tubes? The inlet tube is inserted into gross pond/lake or running stream water, so it's already contaminated. I would love to be able to wash this tube for SURE, safely at home.(The O-rings are still well-lubed, and I've ordered new activated carbon to refill the glass fiber filter.)
Here is what the manual says; Between trips, run a liter of water with two teaspoons of household bleach through the pump. Pump the unit, remove the cartridge from the housing, dry and store. Before next use, pump a liter of fresh water through the system to flush. See use-and-care manual for field tips and detailed instructions.
