If you're wiring a thermostat to control a conventional condensing unit (non-heat pump) and a heat pump air handler, it is no different than wiring a conventional condensing unit and a standard non-heat pump air handler. Yellow (or Blue) - Y White - W Green - G Red - R The only question would be the remaining wire. Was it used to energize the reversing valve (O terminal on heat pump thermostat)? If so, you could take that wire and tie it into the C (common) wire/terminal at the air handler. That is, if your thermostat has a C terminal. If not, the wire would not be used. I'd suggest making sure those are the wire colors being used by checking them at the air handler first.

I have no idea what you did. Which speaker(s) makes a static noise? You cut your wire in half. Which wire? Is your subwoofer wired to the speaker outputs or the SUB OUT on the receiver? Did you splice this wire or simply trim it, strip the ends and plug it into the receiver speaker outputs and the terminals on a speaker? What are you powering these speakers and subwoofer with? A receiver or an all in one HTIB unit? The best way to get good answers with any question is to provide as many details as possible - model numbers and the conditions under which the problem occurs. Details please.

U JUST RUN THE HOT(RED) WIRE TO THE BATTERY. U ALSO MIGHT HAVE TO HOOK UP THE MEMORY WIRE(YELLOW WIRE) AND THE REMOTE ( SOLID BLUE) WIRE TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL OF THE BATTERY AS WELL BEACAUSE SOME RADIOS WONT TURN ON WITHOUT THESE WIRES COONECTED. Are they in an electrical box,or just hanging there? Either way, you need to twist them (individually) screw the proper sized wire nut on to them, then wrap some electrical tape around them. If they have a box, you can just put a cover on it. If they are just dangling out of the wall,( very unusual,but you never know) Just put a plain cover over them, after wrapping them. After they have been wrapped separately, it will be safe to turn the breaker back on. Use a electrical tester before touching any electrical wiring,even after you think you have turned the breaker off. I almost killed myself thinking the breaker I shut off lead to the particular wire I was working on. Come to find out, a switch to a light, and an outlet not more then a foot away from that ,were pigtailed on to separate circuits. Don't ever guess, or assume nothing when working around electricity. For okorder /... On the inside of the enclosure, connect both positives and both negatives to the enclosure inside terminal. That makes each side of the enclosure 2 ohms. Mount and screw in the subs. Now, on the outside: 1) Observing polarity, run short jumpers between the terminals (positive to positive, negative to negative) and then connect ONE set of terminals to the amp (again observing polarity) (positive to positive, negative to negative. 2) Run separate wires from each set of terminals to the amp, observing polarity. That makes the final impedance to the amp 1 ohm.

One affect of inductance is that it opposes changes in current. So when you first apply a dc voltage across a wire and a dc current starts to flow, the self-inductance will resist the increase in current. It will appear to be because of higher resistance than expected. But the current will increase over a short time, and once it gets to a steady-state, the apparent resistance from the self-inductance is zero. This, self-inductance in a straight piece of wire, is a minor affect compared to components that presumably are in the circuit. After the current reaches steady state, the self-inductance will try to oppose a decrease in current. If the voltage and therefore the current are ac - alternating, this gets more complicated. The current is always trying to change. At the level of study I think you are, you should save this for later.
