Q:HiI live in a council house where the walls are naturally paper thin and it is very irritating to hear my neighbours' noiseI know its not their fault, everyone has the right to enjoy their homes but even the smallest noises like loos flushing e.t.c.well you dont really wanna hear that do you?So i was thinking, as I am going to buy the house from the council,I heard that I can build a cavity wall insulationWould this drown out some of the noise? How much do they cost?
No, your antenna will only be that, an antenna.
Q:i am a vegan and i try to eat very healthybut all of the healthy things i eat have way too much fiberi dont know what the hell all this stuff on the internet is about how americans dont get enough when its everywherebut americans are a different issue all together, MY problem is that i seem to be getting way too muchi dont know how to get less without just substituting with crapi eat 3000 calories a day and with it comes over 70 grams of fiber o.O so what foods am i not thinking of? fruits and vegetablestheyre loadedoatmeal, bread, rice, quinoa, falafel theyre loadednuts, legumes, seeds, fiber, fiber, fibermost soy products, fiberso what the hell is a boy to eat? i guess i could switch to white ricewhite breadbut they have such poor nutrient content, theyve just been stripped downso basically if i dont want to eat fiber i have to eat filler crap? :( i need some suggestions i dont know.
You are partly correct - the purpose has to do with the change in measurement of the elements which of path is reflected of their order on the periodic tableI believe the forces that maintain the electrons are proportionate to 1/r^2So for each doubling of the radius you get a four fold cut back in the ionization vigourSo the important thing element is the dimensions of the element.
Q:My 7 week old, teacupoo is having problems with constipationMy vet recommended a puppy food high in fiber because this is common in dogs this smallDoes anyone have any recommendations?
Humidity should be at 45% to 60% but higher when the snake is sheddingHydrometers can tell you the tanks humidity levelsWhen in shedding, try putting a plastic container large enough for snake to fit, in your cageCut a hole in the lid and put in damp paper towel to make a cheap humidity boxAlso, dry bathing your snake in lukewarm water for 15 minutes a dayThe larger the water dish, the more humidity you will getPlacing the water dish in a warm area (over under tank heat pad or under light) of the enclosure can increase the effectsYou can increase humidity by covering half, but no more than that, of the cage top with some water proof materialPlexiglass, and wet towels have been usedBy covering the top of the cage on the side where you have the water dish, you will greatly increase the efficiency of your setupThe best way to help keep your cage at the proper humidity levels is to spray the cage once or twice a day with room temperature waterLightly mist the entire enclosure, including substrate and cage wallsThe substrate that you use in your enclosure can significantly effect the humidity in the cageIf you want to increase and maintain higher levels of humidity try using orchid bark, cypress mulch, coconut husk, various mosses(not all moss)Pine and cedar shavings should NEVER be used as they contain chemicals that cause respiratory and other problems that lead to deathThe shavings must be monitored closely and all soiled and wet shavings pulled out immediately to prevent bacteria and fungus growths.
Q:Does anyone know how to make the very tips of the yarn to not poke out? Even on the wrong side, it looks tacky and sometimes it moves to the right sidesAnd on blankets, I'm trying to make the wrong side look decent as wellI wondered about holding a flame to the tip and melting it onto the stitching but am nervous about doing that, ha haAny ideas? Thanks
I usually work the yarn ends a few stitches beyond where it's needed for securityThen I pull slightly on the yarn end and clip it offWhen I pull on the knitting to stretch it out a bit, the yarn end disappears into the fabricHelpful hints: If possible, hide the yarn ends in a seamIf you're working on an unseamed piece, change yarns at the sides of the workThen work one yarn end UP and the other DOWN on the edge.
Q:So if something contains like 5 grams of fiber is that a lot for 1 thing of food or is it low? Also, I understand that everyone is different, but is there any general amount of fiber it takes to make someone full?
The average American only gets around 15 grams of fiber a dayThe recommended minimum is 25I am up to over 50 a dayA food containing 5 or more grams of fiber per serving is pretty goodA high fiber diet reduces transit timeThe amount of time it takes for food to exit the bodyThe average adult has a transit time of 50-60 hoursSo something they ate for breakfast two days ago is still in their systemYuck! This leads to a condition called auto toxicity where the digestive system is working slow enough for toxins to be reabsorbed through the large intestineA high fiber diet can cut transit time to 24-30 hoursSearch high fiber foods and focus on eating lots of those.
Q:Brand of bread that I can buy in Canada that is high in fibre and low in caloriesI only eat Wonder bread and I've been told that wonder bread (especially white bread) are just empty carbs.
Best I can offer is to read the lablesBut as a suggestion Whole grains are where you will find the fiber you are looking for in breadIf you don't think you are getting enough fiber in your food try a fiber supplementI use benefiber it has no taste and it disolves in any liquid you can add it to your coffee or tea, water or juice and never know it's theregood luckSara Lee has multi-grain breads that have fiber in them try that if you likeby the way they taste good too!! That's always a plus!!
Q:OK, so I just discovered that the recommended daily intake of fiber is only 25 gramsI get around 80 grams without even tryingIf you eat the recommended servings of fruits and veggies, ignoring even whole grains and legumes, it's pretty easy to get that amountIf you're eating enough produce, are fiber supplements really necessary? Like, is there a medical condition where, even if you do eat the recommended servings of produce, that you STILL need to take supplements? Or is the whole fiber supplement industry a sham?
You are correct Fiber supplements are not necessary if you eating a plant based diet There is no disease specifically relating to a deficiency in fiberFiber is undigestible anyway, and it is not a nutrient So even though you are eating high fiber foods, you won't be lacking in fiber because fiber cannot be broken down and be used by the cells in the body.
Q:does any one know where i can buy some of NASA'S super insulationor something with, aluminum sprayed over a breathable TPU membrane?
It's true that all veggies have fiber but the ones most known for it (maybe the most well known) are prunes, cranberries (especially dried cranberries), grapes, raisins, and cabbage.
Q:I was sick with the flu two weeks ago with a high feverMy mom said it was better to give me cold towels to put on my body to force the fever down - however, my dad said it was better to keep me warm because the high temperature was to kill the virusEither way, I still got over the bug - but would either of those had helped me heal faster? Which one?
Just stay comfortableWhen the fever is rising, you feel chillyWhen it is coming down, you sweat and feel hotToo many blankets can hinder the fall of temperatureWhen the fever is very high, a tepid bath or sponging helps the temperature come down faster.
