Q:What is a simple way to disconnect the damn light, because the breaks are fine, but with the panel light showing and not shutting off, it fails inspection, and i dont want to replace my break system.

Sometimes the wheel sensor will set a code even when its good. The reason? Brake dust!!! Brakes are made of metallic material, and this dust will build up so bad between the sensor and the reluctor, that it sees the wheel as stopped all the time, thus setting a code. Its a real simple fix to just remove the wheels, and clean away all that build up between the little wheel (reluctor) and the pick-up (sensor). As the wheel turns, the magnetic pick-up (sensor) generates pulses of electricty everytime one of the prongs on the (reluctor) wheel passes the magnet in the sensor. If it is clogged up with metal brake dust, it can't generated any electricity because it doesn't see anything passing, but has metal there all the time. The result is: the computer doesn't see a signal from the sensor, and sets a code because the computer thinks the wheel is not turning. The light will stay on. A quick way to test these sensors is to unplug the sensor, set a meter to read very low DC voltage in the milli-volt range, connect the meter to the two prongs on the sensor, spin the wheel and you should get a reading. If you don't, also try the very low side on the AC setting. I don't remember which it is but you will figure it out. 99% of the time, it is showing a bad sensor from the wheel when in fact the sensor is good, but won't generate a signal because the dust is caked up in there to where you can't even find the sensor. Check it out, and you will see what I mean. Also, If you have a reading, and still get a code, check the wire all the way back to the computer with a test light, but only after you have un-plugged the harness from the computer. There are a few different approaches you can use to acheive the desired effect. I've added custom lighting similar to what you're looking for to many of our restoration projects. I would begin by removing the front seats. 4 bolts and a little manuvering to get them out is worth the time saved trying to work around them. Next you'll need to find a suitable mounting location under the dash. Be very watchful of what you're considering running a screw into. In many vehicles the ducting is accessible under the dash. A hole here will cause the system to leak and due to expansion/contraction will eventually cause the LED light fixture to fall out. As far as getting power to the fixtures find your fuse box and install a new line. Most boxes will have 1 or 2 empty slots that you can use for accessories. If you don't have experience running a new line from a fuse box you can purchase a stacked connector at any auto parts store. This will allow you to pick a currently active fuse (radio for example) and piggyback off it's power source. This will also ensure the light fixtures only receive power with the ignition on. Custom lighting is just thatbe creative. A slow and steady approach is much better than haphazardly mounting crap under the dash and duct taping wires. Take your time, read the LED light manufacturers recommended voltage/amp levels and get to work. Hope this helps!

Q:and got a 6 months warranty so about a month later, the check light on the car started to show and now the break light is showing car i take it back to the mechanic who did the transmission to fix it because the 6 months is not expired yet??

Take it in for the cel but the the brake light because, obd system (not sure what car you have) have sensors on the tranny too.

The evap system capures fuel that is evaporating from the gas tank, and allow it to re-enter the tank to be burnt. Its only there because laws require it to be so that fuel does not evaporate into the atmosphere. While you should make efforts to fix the problem, it will in no way effect the life or performance of your engine, you may lose fuel from your gas tank while it is sitting, and you wont pass an emissions test come the next time you need to take one.

Q:Last week when im driving my Check engine light and my ETS light come on at the same time. I went to Auto Zone and i checked the computer and the code that came up was P0420 it said that the catalyst system was preforming below efficiency bank 1. They said this is the O2 sensor and i replaced it and reset the computer and the light went off for 3 days. Then the same 2 lights came back and i didnt know what was going on. So now my car is going through about 1/8 a tank a day now. My buddy who works for a dealership says it might be the spark plugs that need to be replaced and i dont know if this will fix it (other problem is i know how to do this but im without a tourqe wrench so i cant do the job while im here in LA) So if there is any techs out there that work for GM and could lend a hand to let me know whats going on i would be greatfull. I own a shop, and can tell you this; The first thing I would think is the new sensor wire came unhooked. I have seen this before. The wire/wires not being plugged together right, came loose, and fell apart. Have someone at Auto Zone pull the codes again, to be sure it is the same code. Bad spark plugs could be the problem, but I would lean more towards a stopped up cat/converter needing replaced. It sounds to me like your best bet is to take it to a shop, and have them make the repairs. I doubt you will find many (if any) technicians in your local area on here. You might get lucky. i might have checked the Air breather filter out precise away. 2d i might see if all sensors have been perfect seated(plugged in) 0.33 i might make confident the gas tank vent(gas cap) is sealing perfect. examine the thermial regulator if the EGR has been replaced. After making those adjustments, reset the computing gadget and the easy will pass off. it would come returned on returned and if it dose take it to vehicle Zone and characteristic them run a diagnostic on it for unfastened, on account which you will greater then possibly purchase the section you desire from them
