Q:The cakes or brownies or cupcakes that I bake are usually nice and moist and soft when just out of the ovenBut when I keep them and eat them later or the day after, it always becomes hardWhat can I add to my batter so that my cakes remain soft and moist even a day later?
First your cupcakesTry using the little cupcake liners the have aluminum foil or cut a round of aluminum foil to put in the cupcake pan then add the paper linerThe aluminum foil will seal in the moisture a bit better than just the paper liner willSecond your browniesIf at all possible cut them in very large piecesOr leave whole in the panThe less surface exposed to air the longer the brownie will stay moistAlso do not over bake themLastly your cakeA cake with sour cream or mayonnaise added to the batter will stay moist longerThe recipes with pudding added will also stay moister longerIce your cakes or a good glaze will seal in moistureIf you are keeping any of these in the refrigerator that will make them dry out fasterThe refrigerators remove moisture from the air in the interior of the unit, thus removing moisture from your baked goodsWrap will place in tight sealing plastic containersI like Lock-n-Lock containers the bestThey have a gasket around the top that seals them quite well.
Q:Tommorow i am cosplaying as Deidara at my school, but i dont want to look like a total foolAny ideas? I have no jacket or headband, so any really awesomely awesome stupendous ideas?????????? i need this by May 13th 6:30! Thankies!!!!!!!
Definitely dry cleanWool should never be washed as the shrinkage percent is too high ! I was sweaters with a very small amount of wool but you must not wring or twist and they should be laid on a towel ,blocked and rolled upWhen water has been absorbed, place on dry towel and lay on a sweater screen to dryBoiled wool is wool that has been washed purposely to shrink and harden the fabricThis is done before the pattern is cut out.
Q:Whats something you HAVE to take with you when you go camping?
Beer Tent/ tarps Air Mattress Mattress Pump Broom Camping chairs Fold-out table Sheets Sleeping Bags Pillows Extra blankets Bug Spray Medicine Soap/shampoo/washcloth Towels Deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush Hand sanitizer Sunscreen Sunburn gel Ziplock bags Dishsoap/sponge Roll of T.PBaby wipes Paper towels Q-Tips Shower bag Food Condiments Grill Stovetop burner Propane tanks Matches Grill accessories Cups Can opener Aluminum foil Table Cloth Pot/pan Dishwashing tub Dry dish-rack Durable paper plates Silverware Water Shovel Frisbee/football Water guns Horseshoes Clothes Water Shoes Flip flops Raincoat/poncho Hiking boots Tennis shoes Garbage bags Bag for empty cans on canoe Clothes pins Clothes line Scissors/knife Tool kit Flashlight Duct Tape
Q:instead of paper.and what does money made of? cotton? Why don't they wrap our sandwich in cotton material or aluminum foil, are they recyclable? Or bee wax.we want to save the trees.
foil can taint taste, but it is a good point though
Q:I'm building a boat for science classThe boat must be made ONLY out of metal, so aluminum foil seems like a good choiceThe boat must be relatively small, and hold 5 packs of 10 pennys (50 total)Normally, this would be easyBUT in order to get an A, the boat must weigh ONLY 1 to 6 grams! I was thinking of making an air pocket in the bottom, but I need more ideas.
It could be from clothes or a blanket you were wearingSometimes thread can get stuck in wounds.
Q:how could i give 37degree temperature in a plastic box?
My horse does even though he is in a covered stall where i board its very cold and i would not want to be standing in thereI bought a blanket for him and it cost me $64.00
Q:Can any one help me with ELECTRON DOT DIAGRAMS, worth 25% of my grade.OKay the book gave me examples of elements in the periodic table which are the following:H (hydrogen) 1 dotLi (lithium) 1 dot Na (sodium) 1 dotK (potassium) 1 dotRb (rubidium) 1 dotCs (cesium) 1 dotFr (francium) 1 dotNow i understand all the way up to (K) I don't seem to see how they got one dot from then and thereonMy assignment on my paper is to draw electron dot diagrams for the following:Hydrogen, sodium, neon, fluorine, carbon, oxygen, calcium, aluminumThese are my answersPlease correct and explain my incorrect answers, thank you.H (hydrogen)1 dotS (sodium) 1 dotNe (neon) 8 dotsF (fluorine) 7 dotsC (carbon) 4 dotsO (oxygen) 6 dotsC(calcium) ??Al (aluminum) 3 dotsExplain if im wrong please thank you.
All of your answers are rightA few things thoughThe symbol for sodium is Na not S (that's sulfur)Also, calcium (Ca) has two dots A nice thing to remember is that electron dot diagrams for main group elements (no transition or rare earth metals) will be the same for elements in the same group or column of the periodicThis is because elements in the same group have the same number of valence electronsSo: Group IA or 1 1 dot Group IIA or 2 2 dots Group IIIA or 13 3 dots Group IVA or 14 4 dots Group VA or 15 5 dots Group VIA or 16 6 dots Group VIIA or 17 7 dots Group 0 or 18 8 dots Hope this helps
Q:you know for flavor? do i need to dry them outwhats a good way to do that? will it provide good flavor like wood from the tree would?
I agree, I am a former chef and have seen hams smoked in the southern US with corncobs, peanut/pecan shells so hickory nuts would be fine, I would break them up and set them in a piece of foil and use them as a smoking agent, or right on the charcoal, for propane the package is best or a aluminum foil pie pan on the briquettes.
Q:I have a piston that came from the car signed By Darrell Russell (the drag racer) on 8/3/03 from the races in Sonoma and cant find anything to compare it to price wiseI also have an autographed shirt and race handoutAs well as the program from the eventJust wondering what the value of these items are, especially the piston
Its worth the price of clean scrap aluminum, provided a top fuel driver can make it into the final rounds they will autograph 8 pistons per round and give them to fans, so figure 6 rounds times 8, so thats 48 pistons in one day, unless its a team on a budget they might use a piston for more than one run, actually some of the top teams will sell used servicable parts to some of the lower on a budget teams, I have an autographed John Force piston rod from Sonoma, aint worth $20 bucks,
