- Hi. Alex has actually answered your question well here, but I agree with some of the other points too. 1. If there is ANY way to keep the bike indoors, this is best. 2. Take Alex's suggested maintenance measures 3. If possible, dry off the bike with a cloth before putting the cover over it (as humidity will increase the rate of rust formation) and try to secure it on a non-wet floor (so, in a dry, covered bike rack, rather than against a lamp-post) when you are away from home. 4. Clean chain thoroughly before lubing it. 5. When removing rust, treat these areas with anti-rust and as others have said, you need to paint over and/or wax over any bare metal. 6. Trouble with rust is that once it takes hold, its very difficult to get rid of it. If there's no way of keeping it indoors, consider selling it (while it's still fairly rust-free) and buying an aluminium bike. An aluminium frame will feel different and you may or may not prefer it, but your investment will probably last longer.

- Not sure I fully understand your question; you wanna get new wheels and tyres for your quad? The type of wheels you can buy is determined by the stud pattern. (I think this is probably what you mean by the size of the hub). There is a small number of different stud patterns, just like on cars. Take your old wheel into a shop and they will be able to match you up with a range of wheels which will fit. If buying online, just look closely at the picture of the style you wanna buy to see if it matches yours. The most obvious difference is in the number of studs i.e. the bolt-like things the wheelnuts screw onto. The other thing to look out for is the spacing of the studs. E.g. on a 4-stud wheel you measure across from the CENTRE of one stud to the centre of the one opposite. On a 5-stud wheel you measure from the centre of one stud to the next-but-one stud i.e. skip one.

- the one wheel is for carrying dirt, rubble, topsoil, etc. and the one wheel helps the barrow flip easier to dump its contents. I've never seen a two wheeler but I would presume it's more for moving things like plants that won't need flipping and being poured out. I suspect if you are moving plants and tools that could be done in a small wagon (4 wheels). I would think a man though would be more able to use the one wheeled barrow. I would think though if your husband truly needed something he would want to pick it out himself although this item purchase is not a big deal.
