- Q:my solar car works when using the Battery but when there is sunlight i connect the wires to the solar panel and it does not work...................HELP
- If that solar panel came with the car, the panel is most likely defective. Make sure you're in bright sunlight, and try holding the car so that the wheels are not touching the ground. If the wheels still won't turn, even slowly, then the panel is bad. If each person in the class got one, see if you can try your panel on a friend's car, or their panel on your car. If this is just any little panel, it could be that the panel simply does not have enough voltage, current, or both to power the motor on the car.
- Q:Are there any noise or sound-related issues with solar panels?
- No, solar panels do not produce any noise or sound-related issues as they convert sunlight into electricity silently.
- Q:How do solar panels affect the property's energy consumption?
- Solar panels can significantly reduce a property's energy consumption by harnessing sunlight to generate electricity. By converting sunlight into clean, renewable energy, solar panels can offset much of the electricity that would otherwise be drawn from the grid. This leads to lower energy bills and a decreased reliance on fossil fuels, ultimately resulting in a more sustainable and eco-friendly energy consumption for the property.
- Q:Can solar panels be installed on farmlands or agricultural fields?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on farmlands or agricultural fields. In fact, many farmers are increasingly adopting solar energy as a way to generate additional income and reduce their reliance on traditional energy sources. By installing solar panels on farmlands, farmers can generate renewable energy while continuing to use the land for agricultural purposes. Additionally, solar panels can provide shade for crops, reducing water evaporation and enhancing plant growth.
- Q:Are there any safety precautions to consider when installing solar panels?
- Yes, there are several safety precautions to consider when installing solar panels. Firstly, it is important to work with a qualified and experienced installer who follows industry standards and guidelines. Adequate training and knowledge of electrical systems are crucial to ensure safe installation. Additionally, proper precautions should be taken when working with heights, as solar panels are typically installed on rooftops. This includes using appropriate fall protection equipment and following all relevant safety protocols. It is also essential to turn off electricity before starting the installation process to avoid electrical shocks. Finally, regular maintenance and inspections should be conducted to ensure the panels are in good condition and operating safely.
- Q:Can solar panels be used to power a military base?
- Yes, solar panels can be used to power a military base. Solar power is a clean and renewable energy source that can be harnessed to generate electricity for various purposes, including powering military installations. Implementing solar panels on military bases can help reduce reliance on traditional fossil fuels, increase energy independence, and contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly operation of the base.
- Q:i dont wanna buy a solar panel becuase its too exspensive, i dont want use technical stuff i want to use every day materiels, but i need to know asap plzzzz.
- well... I'm not sure how you can make a solar panel that you can store electricity off of. But a simple solar panel is... Take a pane of class a bunch of pop cans and a fan... color the bottoms of the pop cans black and attach them to a board of some sort (black side up) put the pane of glass over the cans (with about 5 inches of space between) and put the fan blowing away from the cans you can set this in a window that gets lots of sun and it will use the solar energy to heat your house (its pretty efficient and warm)
- Q:Can solar panels be installed on restaurants or food establishments?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on restaurants or food establishments. In fact, many restaurants and food establishments have embraced solar energy as a sustainable and cost-effective solution. Solar panels can be installed on rooftops, parking lots, or even as shade structures over outdoor seating areas. By harnessing solar energy, these businesses can reduce their reliance on traditional energy sources, lower their electricity bills, and contribute to a greener environment.
- Q:Why are they placed there? How come they aren't placed on the floor or window. My fiance and I are interested in putting solar panels on our new home. I was really curious and google wasn't giving me the answer. My roof is pretty small in our new house and I don't think it would fit there. Why is it usually placed there and is there another place? You will be chosen as best answer if you answer all my questions. Thanks in advance, and I would appreciate if nobody is rude. Otherwise, I will have to report abuse.
- Solar panels are placed on the roof because many times the roof has good exposure to the sun providing the roof is not blocked by trees or something else so that sufficient sunlight wouldn't be absorbed. Also the panels would more likely not get damaged on the roof opposed to being in the yard. If they were mounted on the windows, how could you see? And, the windows could easily break and then what would happen to the panels? Placing the solar panels on the floor would not be practical. A lot of sunlight is needed for the cells to produce electricity and how much goes on the floor? Most roofs are at an angle which could perhaps improve the amount of sunlight the panels would get, and roofs provide a lot of unused space. The roof is the best place. Furthermore, roof solar panels are available now to blend in better with the roof so that they are more pleasing to the eye. Even if you have a small roof, some panels could be placed there provided the roof is not blocked so that the sunlight it gets would be sufficient (about 4 or 5 hours of sunlight a day is needed). And, if you needed addition panels, they could be mounted in your yard as long as the mount was close to your power box and received sufficient sunlight. I applaud your desire to use solar panels. You could possibly save 50 - 90% on your electric bill and help your environment at the same time! A Win - Win situation!!
- Q:I want to buy a solar panel kit but I'm unsure of how it works. Basically I want to run my entainment set, Xbox, cable box, 46 led tv, and some desktop speakers. I went online and found a kit for like 250 or something like that at homedepot and was wondering if that kit is worth the money or go bigger or something.
- Well, you'll want to find the wattage your devices use. Then you'll want to be able to supply that with your solar cells. Plus a fair margin for emergencies. Most of them should have their expected wattage printed on them, but you could also get a meter to measure it. Beyond that, you will want an inverter, and some batteries.
