- OK listen everyone has their own answer for this question. No its not important or yes its important; all for their own reasons. No its not necessary but, a good safety feature! I gave one to my daughter this year she is only in the 1st grade crazy? Maybe, but, I like the idea when she is not with me say at a friends house, in school, any situation. And say she feels the ned to call me ON AN IMPORTANT basis like she is scared or whatever she can call me or even text me. - I can only speak for myself, but I use cell phones a lot. I am deaf. I do not talk on the phone at all, but I text all of the time. Texting, along with e-mail and IM-ing, are the only real ways that I can keep in touch with people. There are some cell phones, like mine, that are designed with a special feature that makes them compatible with many types of hearing aids. You don't have to look too far to find a new cell phone with this feature; my phone is a Samsung Tracfone, and it is HAC. (Hearing Aid Compatible) There are other phones that are specially designed for people with other disabilities. Like, for example, there are phones that are voice activated, or they have bigger buttons and displays. These features can be especially helpful for people with disabilities.

- In my opinion, Tmobile is a great cellular service provider and I've been using them for years without problems. So I think you should be fine with them. Meanwhile, all I can say about the t-mobile phone selection is RAZR-Ville! and it's also that way for a good reason. T-mobile doesn't offer very many decent phones in my opinion aside from the reliable RAZR and Sidekicks. But, the problem with this is the fact that RAZRs are becoming all to common and the sidekick has an apalling screen resolution, camera, and portability rating (at least for me). T-mobile also has a tragically small amount of smartphones in their line up. This is because T-mobile is relying on the blackberry/crackberry to hold their smartphones sector. So unless you love blackberries, look somewhere else. Finally, the low-end phones are mainly clamshells with decent functionality for those who just want a phone. Though one exception to the low-end phones would be the samsung slide phone that they have get it if you wan t a nice looking and quite capable basic phone. Thus, unless you absolutely love the RAZR, text message to the point or needing a sidekick, need a blackberry(I found the phone boring), or want a basic phone which you can mostly get elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend getting a phone from t-mobile directly. Which brings me to a simple conclusion, buy an unlocked GSM phone that works with where you live and T-mobile from OKorder or something and stick your sim card in it. Well hope that helps.

- no way the wind never effects the signal of mobiles, radios, or any other but all of them are effected if there is dusty wind or rain, or thnderstorms, reason is: mobile is not effected by wind is that mobile communication is line of sight communication, signals dont really go to space,they r just transfered from one post to other and to ur mobile, but when there is shower the signal gets disturbed thats why in rain often signals are not recieved. in case of radio if it is cloudy than u dont get good reception bqz. its signals have to go to space and then come back, so if it is cloudy the signals dont really get to the satellite as strongly as they should and come back weakly, so u dont get good reception but if it is only windy and not cloudy there r lots of chances that u get good reception. so my dear remember that the rain or thunderstorm and dusty winds are basically disturbing the signals of both types of communication and they r reffered as noise.

- I have had problems with every smart phone that T Mobile offers. The net speed is so slow and many others besides me have had to return them with and it took many hours on the phone for them to admit that they received it. The customer serice can be a two hour hold and then you get dropped.
