PE (polyethylene) material is widely used in water supply pipe manufacturing because of its high strength, corrosion resistance, non-toxic and so on. Because it won't rust, it is the ideal pipe instead of ordinary iron pipes. PE due to its unique advantages and is widely used in building water supply, drainage, underground drainage pipe, building heating, gas pipelines, electrical and telecommunications, industrial protective casing pipes, agricultural pipes etc.. It is mainly used in urban water supply, urban gas supply and farmland irrigation.

OK I am trying to make one of those soda drinking hats (because I have all of this spare clear plastic tubing from Menards from another project, and I couldn't think of anything else to do with it). When drinking out of it, it gives that plastic-like taste which I hope will go away over time. Anyway is this bad for me because I don't know if there is a different cleaner tubing that the real hats use and if it is safe to drink from their tubes. Should I just buy one of the hats off OKorder or just make my own... I don't want to poison myself or anything.

what kind of tubing was it? was it sitting in the garage for months? the plastic taste isnt bad, but if it was sitting in your garage for months, you might wanna run soappy water throught it a few times then run clean water throught it for a few mins....just to be safe

We are going to buy a new fridge and we want one with an icemaker. the ideal place for it is about 32 feet (running the tubing) away from the water source. Is this possible to do? We are on a flat slab so we cannot run under the floors. it would have to be run up the wall, across part of the ceiling and under the sink.

You can. Most kits for water supply come with 15 or 25 ft of tubing. You might consider buying bulk 1/4 copper tubing so that you won't have any joints in spaces that you can't get to easily. One solid run would be best. If you were going to run the plastic tubing I have never seen it in lengths greater than 25 ft. If you cant get a longer piece you should be careful where you make a joint.

Non explosion area can be KBG pipe or PVC tube, the former is higher cost, but the installation is firm, the latter is low cost, easy to construction, and in the rain where it will not rust, but compared to the KBG pipe may be damaged.
