- Not tacky! I was wondering about the edges though... Will they look worn out after some time? I guess it depends on the quality of the carpet. Have you considered buying a used rug? Check out second-hand shops, Salvation Army shops, garage sales ect - plus ads in the local newspaper. Or you could place an ad yourself?

If you like to remodel frequently I would suggest hand-tufted, if you'd like to keep the piece I would suggest hand knotted. Purchase the rug you love. Hand knotted rugs are quite expensive compared to hand-tufted and machine made area rugs. Approximate cost comparison of 5 x 7 area rugs. Machine made area rug $100-$500. - i would buy a fly sheet, theyre really useful in the summer and as long as you have an exersize sheet, it doesnt really matter if its florsent or not. what have you previously been using to tarvel in? just carry on using that or a cooler with a circingle in the summer.

- I've never heard of any one putting carpet pad down before applying carpet tiles. I have seen them install regular carpet they always glue the pad down place the carpet on top of that. If you don't get a better answer to your question I would call Home Depot ask them. I did find the instructions below for installing carpet tiles but no mention of carpet pad. DIRECT STICK CARPET TILES The carpet tiles are adhered to the sub floor using Roberts 656 Carpet Tile Double Bond Underlay Adhesive. The sub floor should first be primed with Roberts 370 Floor Wall Primer prior to the application of the carpet tile adhesive. If the carpet tile is laid into a wet film of adhesive it forms an almost permanent bond between the carpet tile and sub floor. The carpet tiles may also be laid into the adhesive when it has dried to a clear tacky film allowing them to be more easily removed if repairs or replacement is required.
