If this is the case you can just snip the paint off with sharp scissors. Just cut the very tips of the fibers. Work slowly. Don't cut a single millimeter more than you have to and pull up while cutting. This will help prevent divots in the carpet. Try your best to do just one or two fibers at a time...not a whole clump. Dissect any paint clumps first by cutting them in half or thirds, so that you separate clumps. This will work unless you have already used nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol. and have worked the paint into the carpet. Also...cutting paint off carpet will work on shag or plush carpet, but not Berber or loopy carpet. Good luck. -

Q:My new living arrangement will be in the basement of a house my friends and I are renting. The house is kind of older, so it's going to be kind of tricky finding good newer style furniture that won't clash with the rooms. The basement has gray carpet (blah) with wooden walls that have sort of a mix of green and light brown color.: I love the idea with the navy and the orange! Very cute, modern, and classy. The walls might not match, but its worth a try. I think it will work. This may seem a little crazy, but you could get like the paint swatches at Lowe's or Home Depot of navy, orange, grey, or whatever colors you want and hold them up to the walls to see if they clash. It's worth a try.

Q:im debating on putting carpet or tile into my bearded dragons tank instead of brown paper bags. is it hard cleaning poop off the carpet? because with tile you can just wipe it up. what one would be better?: I prefer tiles. While the carpet may look nice and is not ingestible, the fabric can snag on claws and teeth. It is absorbent too, so even picking poop up right away will leave the bacteria behind inside the carpet - there is no wiping down, you have to wash the whole thing. As well as being much easier to clean, tiles also hold and spread heat better :)

Q:whats the difference between the two? i've done latch hooking but im wondering if rug hooking is the same thing or close?: 2 differences, first you don't get precut yarn with rug hooking, you use a skein or ball of yarn, starting from the back with your hook on the top, pull the yarn through, making a continuous line. 2nd the hook in rug hooking does not have the latch over the hooky part. I did quite a few latch hook projects and tons of fun. I just recently learned rug hooking while on vacation. At first it is a little harder, getting a even tension and so that the pile of yarn on the top is all even and not splitting the yarn. Also, around the area it is black or has black stuff left on the carpet (light brown carpet color). Any ideas as to what it is? How to stop it? Fix it? [also the only pets i have are fish]: there's a few things that live in carpets or breed there. but moths are the ones that are famous for holes. the larvae eat the rug then become moths. If you're lucky a little flea spray and the worms will come up so you can see them. start using boric acid or diatomaceous earth (buy the kind for this use not the pool filter material). sprinkle on carpet and brush deep with broom. Vacuum more regularly and put down more boric acid every few months at least.

Q:How do I remove the carpet glue stuck to the floor tiles?.: Nail polish remover. The usage is similar to alcohol acetone. The effect is also good. Washing water does not require quality, good or general, as long as you can wash off all nail polish.
