Q:vacuum cleaners
whores suck too.
Q:If you have first hand experience with these units, please advise. The idea sounds great; turn it on, leave the house, come home and the whole house is vacuumed, and the unit is back in its port being recharged. Do they do a good job? Do they miss areas like around the chair legs at the dining room table? Do you reccommend a particular brand? Please share your experience.
Mine does a great job. I have a Roomba Scheduler. Love, love, love it. I hardly ever have to vacuum the edges or anything because the dirt never makes it there because it vacuums everyday. So worth it.
Q:I was pricing vacuum cleaners and some say they have 12 volt motors and some 6 amps. Which is the better buy?
The actual measure of electrical power is called watts. Watts is simply volts times amps (VA). That is what you really want to know. The higher the wattage rating the more powerful the motor.
Q:My son just started crawling and of course tries to pick up every little thing on the carpet...heres the problem, he is terrified of the vacuum and too heavy for me to hold or keep in a carrier as I do it. How often do you do these chores, does anyone have a way for me to help my son not be afraid?
From what I've heard it's super common for babies to be scared of vacuum cleaners. Oddly enough, my son's always been in love with ours though. I kind of contribute it to the fact that I've always been a neurotic vacuumer (would do the floors every single day)... so I think he got used to the noise in utero. Either way, I'm lucky that it wasn't a problem in our house, and I still vacuum every other day... I'd just leave him in the middle of the room and vacuum around him while he laughed. Now that he's walking, he chases it everywhere and tries to tackle it. You could try doing it in the evening once he's sleeping if that wouldn't wake him up. Or, I'd just keep trying... eventually he won't be so scared of it. Try just turning it on and letting him touch it and get used to it instead of trying to get it over with as quickly as possible. Just a thought :-) Good luck though, and I wouldn't stress about keeping the floor perfect. It might just be easier to do a daily sweep on your hands knees to pick up carpet junk.
Q:For a school project, I need to know the most common and annoying problems that you people are facing with vacuum cleaners. Try to be creative and just write whatever comes to your mind. Thanks ppl :D
hair gets in the beater bearings and brushes and jams and burns up the belt. The other is I can't find bags for an expensive sears vacuum.
Q:The line graph shows the typical daily electricity demand in England during the winter and summer season, while the pie chart illustrates the different proportions of electricity used for the most frequent activities in an average English home.Comparing the two trends of electricity demand in the first graph, it is evident that during winter the electricity consumption doubles. Over the day, during either summer or winter, the lowest levels are recorded in the morning, between 8:00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. Conversely, the peak hours are different between the two periods.
try and write it like this: The line graph shows the typical daily electricity demand in England during the winter and summer season, while the pie chart illustrates the different proportions of electricity used for the most frequent activities in an average English home. Comparing the two trends of electricity demand in the first graph, it is evident that during winter the electricity consumption doubles. Over the day, during either summer or winter, the lowest levels are recorded in the morning, between 8:00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m. Conversely, the peak hours are different between the two periods. During the summer, electricity consumption peaks around 10:00 P.M; during winter the highest levels of demand are reached both in the afternoon at 4 p.m. and in the evening at 10:00 p.m. The pie chart shows that heating is by far the most electricity-consuming activity in an average English house (52.5 %). Clearly, this figure explains the reason why the electricity demand is higher during the small spans of time previously mentioned in the graph. The rest of the activities and devices used in the house, such as ovens, lighting and vacuum cleaners, use almost the same proportion of electricity, less than 16 %.

Yes, any one selling vacuum cleaners door to door will take any old vacuum in trade. Remember though that these people work on high mark up and in turn high commission. Hold out on making a quick sale to get your best deal. Many people are ripped off by door to door sales people who are desperate to make a sale. A fair commission is ok, as every one is entitled to make a living.
Q:The ball can move up and down. I looked closely, and the ball can seal the hole. I flipped my vacuum upside down and the pressure easily holds the ball there. I suppose it must be there to help the flow. Not sure if any swirling occurs below the impeller suction hole, but I doubt it. Is the sphere acting as a diffuser or nozzle somehow?Just wondering. Thanks.
Shop vacs are designed to suck up liquids and when the tank fills the ball will float and eventually plug the air suction opening to the blower. The ball is there to prevent liquid from the tank from being sprayed out of the vacuum and to protect the motor from that liquid.
Q:I essentially am looking for a carpet/floor upright vaccum cleaner. I was looking around in stores and found a lot of choice however. I notieced the following things about various brands.1. Bissell = Seems to be the cheapest and offers more features for it's price but looks kind of flimsy. Is this a good brand. Offers 1 yr warranty.2. Dirt devel = Cost a little more and looks better. Offers 2 yr warranty?3. Hoover = I know this is a well known brand but all I was able to see was the steamvacs. My mom had one and it's about 4 yrs old. Its very good still cleans up.Also I noticed Canaster Vacuum cleaners. What are the advantages of these? What is the purpose of having a canaster? I just don't want to get a habbit of purchasing a vacuum every 1 year because it breaks....
It depends on how much you are willing to spend. I have a Rainbow and it's the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. It is bagless, the dirt from the floors goes into a container you put water in and trust me, it pulls things out of my carpet that I didn't know were there. An added bonus is you can add air freshners to the water and it makes your house smell so good after vacuuming. It is of the cannister type comes with standard attachments. I, like you have pets in the house to me, it is the only way to go. Rainbow's are expensive though but you might luck up and pick up a used one. Good luck in your quest!
Q:Are there any top tips from preventing or removing dust from the inside of a pc???Couldnt see any specialist vacuum cleaners anywhere??
You can open the case and vaccuum it lightly with a small vaccuum. Take the fan out and clean it.. or you can go to futureshop or what and pay them to clean it.
