Q:Why is my vacuum so loud?
It's the vacuum between your ears that I'm concerned with.
Q:Why do British/English accents always sound so pompous and arrogant?
I have always felt this way too!! I think it's because most Europeans are that way and brought up that way. Because not only do they sound that way...they are that way! Especially to Americans because they think we are so uncultured. Im so sick of Europeans acting this way. At least we do it fake! haha
Q:Are the answers to the questions about vacuum cleaners written by shills for Mr Vac and Mrs Sew?
I dunno. I like kirby myself
Q:Will Dyson vacuum accessories fit a standard 1 1/4 vac hose?
Of course Jack from customer service wouldn't say Dyson accessories would fit other vacs. He wants you to buy a Dyson. Well, I have a shop vac and it has a 1 1/4 inch hose, but I cannot amazingly find a stiff bristle brush to go with a shop vac. So I am trying to see if this stiff bristle brush can be made to fit.
Q:Smell from bagless vacuum?
I have yet to see a vacuum cleaner that don't add a smell to the air. Try vacuuming up some backing soda this helps.
Q:Mom's with crawlers...how often do you vacuum and sweep?
all wood floors here, sweep maybe twice a day, plus spot sweeping a couple times (to control the crumbs from cherios, fishes, etc) but i have a dog and get hair on the floor rather fast i HATE sweeping now!!!! ps for vaccuming, hell get used to it, i have swiffer vac, and my son was scared of it too, now he doesnt care. Turn it on and sit with him beside it, touch it, get him to touch it stick your feet on the floor beside it, and his, let it run and show youre not scared and nothing will happen.
Q:Why are dogs so intimidated by vaccum cleaners?
as you now a dog has a sensitive nose and a vaccum cleaner picks up and throughs cents around and dust you cant see ,the dog thinks that between the niose and the dust this vaccum guys got to go ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,totally disturbing his territory.
Q:Can a canister vacuum cleaner hepa filter be washed?
I have been servicing and repairing vacuum cleaners for about 10 years now so I see a lot of filters. In my opinion even the filters that can be washed really shouldn't be unless they are a foam type material. Basically the washing doesn't really get the dirt out, what you have to consider is that the pores of the filter are super small to be able to trap particles as small as pollen and smoke and water doesn't flow well through holes this small. Also as the vacuum is running it is actually trying to pull air through the filter so the dust gets pulled in really hard and effectively gets stuck. Your vacuum will last longer by replacing the filter as it will cool the motor more effectively so while there is a cost in buying a new filter it extends the life of your vacuum hence saving you money in the long term. Hope this helps! :)
Q:What type of vacuum cleaner should we get?
My wife LOVES vacuums (we've owned a lot!). The best by far has been the Oreck. Lightweight and it cleans well. Our Dyson crapped out after only a year and my wife never liked it anyway (too heavy)
Q:Good vacuum for bare floors that picks up dog hair?
I was at the carpet store in December and they said the best vacuum was the Oreck..They have many different types..so there should be one to suit your needs
