Q:Is a so-called high-end power cable going to really make my stereo/home theater sound better?
I agree. In my view if a power cable can make an audible difference it would only be if absolutely everything else were perfect ... which it never is. Assuming (a BIG assumption) that all electronics are perfect, before a power cable could possibly have any audible impact the power would have to be pristeen ... requiring a multi $thousand power conditioner. And this ignores the MUCH more important impact of room resonances, etc. which, unless you have perfectly tuned the room with bass traps, absorbtion panels, etc won't be the case. Expecting an audible improvement from a power cable is like expecting that leather seats will make a car accelerate faster when the windows are open! I can think of dozens of ways to better benefit from the $100+ one would spend on one of these special cables. I suspect that people that buy them believe in the tooth fairy, God and horoscopes too.
Q:Can a kink in the power or rca cables make my subwoofer not work?
i would also check ur ground wire.no power means 2 things power wire not secure or the ground is not connected right
Q:Can i use my video card without the six pin power cable?
I assume you are talking about using power directly from the MOBO? If so, no. You won't be able to. You need to have your graphics card plugged into the PSU as well as the MOBO.
Q:HIS RADEON 3850? Power Cable?
There okorder.com/... If your PSU has a 6-pin PCIe power plug, you plug that in there. If your PSU does not have a 6-pin PCIe power plug, use the 4-molex adapter that came with your HD3850. And I disagree with the post above-- You DO NOT need a 500W PSU to run the HD3850. The HD3850 draws a paltry 75 watts maximum. As long as you have a typical dual-core system with 1 HDD + 1 ODD, you can run that HD3850 with just a 300W PSU. I'm running the more powerful 3870 (faster-clocked version of the 3850) on just a Seasonic S12-360W PSU and it works flawlessly.
Q:Power cord(cable) size?
If you have the ability to increase the voltage to compensate for the volt drop and the cable has sufficient current carrying capacity, then you are fine. The volt drop will cause a little wasted power but nothing compared to cable costs probably. Presumably your boosted voltage generator wont be powering anything else or that will give you problems Edit, Cables are rated in rms voltage
Q:Where can I buy a new power chord/cable for my printer?
I would recommend you call Canon's tech support at 1-800-OK-CANON. They should be able to give you the generic information on the type of cord to look for - or they may be able to send you one at little or no charge.
Q:Can I use left over/excess power cable as ground cable?
Yes just make sure to have a way to tell them apart like wrapping the insulation of the ground with black tape.
Q:How Do I Run The Power Cable From An Amp Wiring Kit From The Battery In To The Car Without Drilling?
Check the firewall under the dashboard. You may have to cut a hole in a rubber plug and run the wire through there. Make sure you run the power wire along the opposite side of the car as the RCA cable or else you will hear engine noise through the speakers. Remember to keep the ground short and to attach it to a clean paint free metal surface of the floor board that is properly grounded to the frame. Happy thumping
Q:Is it ok to play my PSP using the power cable instead of the battery?
It is fine. The PSP is just telling you that it is taking power from the outlet instead of the battery.
Q:Video card power cable help!?
You need to get a power cable splitter that goes from two to one. It should have come with the card, if not any local computer store should have one.
