Q:Is your brain plastic?
Maybe the one sitting on the end of your pencil is but as for the one in your skull. I'm pretty sure that is a bunch of fleshy tissue.
Q:Does Plastic packaging affect your decision to buy at the grocery?
I really don't care if the packaging is plastic or paper. I threw all of them into the recycling bin. Almost everything I bought are recyclable. Oh by the way, the reason they have plastic lining inside the soda can is because they don't want the metal oxidation to sips into the drink. Would taste very bad without the lining.
Q:Polyethylene, recycle with plastic?
feed your gloves to a duck, that might be more useful than racking your brain out trying to recycle.
Q:Would plastic, card or paper make a better sail?
OOOPS... Someone needs to do some serious updating here... Today's technology doesn't stop at Dell or Microsoft... That is where it begins... Fact is Rigid Sails are now proving to be much, much faster then cloth. Now rigid airfoils on sailing vessels (especially on multi-hull sailing vessels) are shattering all kinds of world speed records across the water. The trick is balancing maximum strength with mimimum weight and keeping it all together. I don't really know the answer to your question - only to say that if you are building a model (either real or imaginary) a rigid sail is proven best... as to plastic, card, or paper - I would go with the one that gives the best strength ratio to the rest of my model. The site below also has a lot of links that may be helpful. Have fun! Capt. John
Q:Is polylactide (7PLA) plastic safe?
Polyactide plastic is corn plastic, and it is biodegradable. As far as I can tell, it is not a plastic to which phthalates are added, making PLA a safe plastic.
Q:Plastic Surgeons Where do I find?
If you are willing to spend the money and take the risk on plastic surgery then be willing to spend the $9.95 it would take to check out the doctor. We have all seen the horror stories of botched plastic surgery jobs. Donda West just died due to the negligence of a plastic surgeon. If I were you I would run a real search and not rely on finding something free.
Q:plastic wrap or foil????
I will also say to use a reusable container that you can wash and reuse day after day, just like using a cloth shopping bag for groceries. This way you are doing source reduction by cutting down the consumption of plastic bags and aluminum foils.
Q:Biodegradable plastic?
Plastics are long complex organic molecules so by definition they do biodegrade but very very slowly. Bacteria have been evolving to consume more plastics as plastics are becoming more common in certain environments. Before we had plastics from petrochemicals, we made them from vegetables, from cellulose, you may have heard of cellophane, these biodegrade faster than petrochemical plastics because bacteria are already accustomed to consuming cellulose. Recently, we've been making plastic out of corn starch basically for green washing marketing. However, if something biodegrades, their carbon are released into the atmosphere as CO2 which with our global warming concerns would not be good for the environment. What most people believe is good for the environment often isn't.
Q:My cat chews plastic abnormally?
Weird, isn't it. You might try making plastic so distasteful to her she starts to be leery of plastic and will, hopefully, eventually stop. I know my cats hate the smell of perfume and Fabreeze so we spray that on anything we don't want them messing with (you might need to respray daily for a while). Or see if your cat reacts (scrunchy face, backs away) to the smell of lemons or limes or oranges--if so, rub some peels on a plastic bag and leave it lying around so when she jumps on the bag, she'll get a tasteful of yucky citrus flavor. Dab whatever smell she finds nasty on anything plastic you can find in your home (recruit your family to help--you'll be suprised at how much stuff the average household has that is made of plastic). And drench things (maybe your book cover, or cables/cords) in the stuff and leave them for her to find and discover they taste bad now. If all the plastic she finds suddenly tastes bad, she'll start relating the bad taste to plastic and quit. But it might take a while and you're going to have to be on top of this constantly for a while until she learns to leave the plastic alone.
Q:Best product for reconnecting plastic?
A hobby store or a warhammer store will supply plastic glue this glue melts most plastics into thick goo that can then be stuck together so that it is like 1 piece of plastic not 2 pieces held together closely. keep an eye out for super toy worlds which have plastic glues that come with a hollow needle used for extremely fine gluing
