- personally I'd suggest a comfortable sofa with removable back cushions. The seat cushions will then be nearly 26 deep and will easily sleep one. For larger crowds, an air mattress (yes, eventually they leak) but an air mattress used once in a while is better than the discomfort of sitting on the end of a sofa bed. Close to the arm, the mechanism is too hard and you'll lean in. Get a good sofa and a blow up mattress even a fold down futon is better than a mechanized sofa bed, for my money... imho

- I would spray a flea/mite killer on the non-leather parts of the couch. Then I would use a leather cleaner on the leather, but you can also use Clorox wipes on the leather as long as you rinse it afterward. Just make sure that you spray the carpet where you will place the couch also with the flea/mite killer.
