Q:Automotive off road lights wiring?
For okorder.com/... Wiring gauge always specifies the diameter of the WIRING not the insulation, since the insulation thickness can vary. You would have to strip the wire and measure the bare wire with a gauge. You can also look at the printing on the insulation for the gauge. Look for something like AWG 14 etc. You can buy a standalone headlight harness that contains the relay and wiring for aftermarket lights. I would recommend running both positive and negative wires all the way to the battery for maximum current.
Q:Crimp Beads and left-over Wire...?
Depending on the size of the hole in the beads, I usually run the wire down throw about 2 inches worth of beads; then crimp and clip. This also ensures that if the necklace if caught and pulled you have about 2 inches of slack before you are chasing beads on the floor. If you hole in the beads are small you can do two different things. 1) find a coordinating bead with larger holes that you can end the necklace with on both sides of the catch 2) Be sure your wire is running straight back down the original wire after going through the crimp, then crimp and clip. The end of the wire will be straighter and not tend to go out to the side and punch your neck. And unfortunately there is not a solution every time.
Q:Is Mechanics wire different than Solder wire?
Solder wire has a lower melting point, allowing you to melt it onto something else. In it's wire form, it will also snap very easily. (not good for fastening things together). Mechanical wire (I'm assuming electrical wire), is designed to withstand high temperatures (and hence, electrical currents), and are usually be bent much more. It's also usually sheilded in rubber (e.g. electrical cords, computer cables, coxial (tv) cable, etc).
Q:I need some help wiring my radio?
Here's your audio wiring layout: Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Yellow/Green Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Orange/Green Car Radio Ground Wire: Black/Green Car Radio Illumination Wire: Orange/Black Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): White/Black Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray/Black Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): White/Red Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray/Red Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): White/Green Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray/White Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): White Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Q:how to wire a 240v 12.5amp forklift charger?
wire colors are green is ground the black and white wires are you load wires look at you 240 volt plug and determine which terminal is the ground this one is where the green wire goes the black and white wire go to other two terminals this should do it
Q:How do you wire a car stereo?
Assuming the head unit follows the standard color code (there are some cheap Chinese import units that don't) then you should match the head unit wire colors to the harness wire colors. There are a few extra rules, though: -If the harness has a blue wire, and the head unit only has blue/white (no blue), then the blue harness wire should be connected to the blue/white head unit wire. If the harness has a blue/white AND a blue wire, then both of them should be connected to the head unit's blue/white wire. Similarly, if the head unit has only a blue wire and no blue/white, then it should be connected to the blue and the blue/white wires in the harness. -Orange and orange/white can be treated as interchangeable; ie, an orange/white head unit wire can be connected to an orange harness wire, and vice-versa. (If the harness has both an orange and orange/white, though, don't combine them--just use one or the other with the head unit). -Some harnesses have a black/white wire; this can usually be combined with the black ground wire. -Brown and orange/black wires in harnesses should be taped off individually and not connected to anything. -Some harnesses don't have a black ground wire. In this case, the black wire from the head unit will need to be grounded somewhere else. There will usually be wires left over. Make sure each one is insulated so it can't cause a short or contact another wire.
Q:floodlight electrical wiring help?
Four wire power cables used to be used for 2 and 3 phase power. You would normally provide floodlight power with the use of 3 wires. How long is the cable length from house to floodlights? I would look to see what your source wire colors are and try to match those. It used to be in the USA that the red wire was used to carry the 120/240 Volts AC (50 ~ 60~ Herz). The Black wire was considered the return or negative line; and if you have a green wire it is used to put an earth ground on all the shielding, metal jackets, etc.
Q:what gauge wiring should i use?
4 guage amp kit This one is the best SoundQuest SQK0 1/0 Gauge Copper-Clad Aluminum Wiring Kit Technical Details * 1/0 Gauge Power and Grounding Wires * Remote Wire, Speaker wire, and RCA Signal Wires * Fuse Block and Fuse * Various crimp style connectors
Q:how to wire an oven in a old house?
You have not told us whether you are replacing an existing oven or trying to add a new oven. If you are replacing an old oven with a newer model that has a factory installed whip the ground (green) and neutral (white) wires simply need to be tied together with the existing ground/neutral of the supply feeder. If the oven does not have a factory installed whip, the appliance should have a bonding strap that goes between the ground and neutral terminals on the appliance itself. In either case, you need to make sure that the supply feeder has the proper current rating for the new appliance (e.g. if the circuit is 30 amps but the oven requires 40 amps, you will need to upgrade the circuit). If you are trying to wire a new oven where one didn't exist before, then you cannot use any existing wire and must upgrade to current code.
Q:big 3 updrade with 8 gauge wire?
first, do not remove any of your factory wiring. only add extra wiring. it would work if you did two or three runs of 8 gauge wire instead of a single run of 4 gauge wire.
