Q:hi guys ! the motor blew up in my blazer so my daughter's boyfriend put another one in and by accident he broke the end on the cruise control cable at the throttle body ! what I like to know is , can I use a zip tie on the end until I get a chance to change the cable ? also can you change the end or do you have to change the whole cable ? another thing is how do you change the cable on a 4.3 ? thanks guys !

Q:I have a digital cable box hooked up to the tv with an HDMI cable. I want the blu ray player to be connected with an HDMI cable.however the tv doesn't have another input. Is there such thing as a cable with a two to one connector?

just use a component cable (red,green,blue) for picture and a redwhite, coaxial, or optical for sound

Q:I have a 2002 Suzuki aerio with factory cruise control and when i activate it the light says its on but when i let off the gas it does nothing I've gotten it to work like 3 times other than that it doesn't work any suggestions on what it could be? any and all suggestions would be help full

Cruise controls are actually very complex systems. It sounds if the light is lighting up - it has power and thinks it is set. The system consists of a computer module, a servo box to run the throttle and the various switches and wires to control it all. The module and the servo may be combined. the servo powers a cable to the throttle body - or into the car attached to the accelerator pedal. The servo is under the hood and will have a cable as described and a wire with a large connector attached to it. Check the cable attachment. Check the wire plug. Maybe unplug it and replug it in case of loose connections. it will have a hook latch on it so release it properly. There are about 13 circuits and 6 switches that make it work. Unless you have a volt ohmmeter and get the service mmanual- you better entrust it to an electrical technician.

Simply go into the settings and set it that way. The audio and video can be controlled independently. If your surround system uses optical, you'll need a cable to run from the PS3 to the system.

Q:I wanted to go to a brick and mortar store and buy an IR Cable to connect my Tivo. Comcast NEVER STATED I WOULD NEED THIS. So I began installation and now I am stuck. Can't find the original one.

There is nothing special about the Tivo IR blaster. It just has a 1/8 mono plug on one end of the cable and some IR emitters on the other. The Tivo web site describes it as Replacement IR Control Cable for use with your TiVo Recorder and most cable set-top boxes or satellite receivers. I once made one for a Series 2 using an IR emitter from an old TV remote and a plug/cable from an old transistor radio earpiece. Worked fine. Probably a lot easier to order one on the Internet than find a B M that stocks them. Why not just order one from Tivo? $6.99 + s/h

While in theory it seems like streaming media will make Cable TV and Satellite TV obsolete, you are overlooking one thing. The same people who control cable, and satellite (comcast, att, verizon and so on) also control the internet by providing it. They are poised to stop this from happening by setting cap limits on your bandwidth. They are already doing it pretty much. The main reason that most media does not stream at 1080 HD is that you would quickly hit your 250GB or so cap set by the providers. So in the meantime they will continue to make billions off of most people. A small few will continue to bootleg and work around it paying nothing. There is no middle ground. .It is setup so there can be no middle ground. Roku is not an answer to the corporate greed, they are just another form of it. Look at the Roku 2's. Gone is the digital optical out, gone is the component video, gone is the ethernet connection wired option (unless you are will to pay $100 to have it wired). And you only get the USB port, again if you are willing to drop $100 for it. The Roku 2 is not better, it is worse. Are not things suppose to improve with newer versions. The WD Live plus is a much better option for the price. Go on OKorder and get a used old pc in good working order for $30, drop a $30 HD video card in it for for the 1080 HD and surround sound. Connect a wireless keyboard/mouse to it for $20, set it next to your TV and be done with it. Watch all the things you want for free (in 1080HD with surround sound) to include all the networks websites (which the Roku can not do), Get something to snack on while the commercials play. Pay $1 at redbox for the movies you want (and stop paying for 100's of movies you do not want) And save yourself $2,000 a year. Screw them all lol those are my thoughts on the matter.

Try AAMCO! They are often checked for RIP OFF PRICES and are usually very reasonable! Try NHTSA for recalls that GM must pay for! I would try using a hoist, and dropping the OIL PAN and washing down the VALVE BODY and visible SOLENOIDS! I did this with a BENZ trans AND IT WORKED GREAT! BYE NOW!

Q:I had 2 pcs hooked up to the cable with the router, but i have unplugged all of that now. Is this something i shouldnt worry about? I also know that dial up is slow but is there anything on earth that ican do to my pc to get it to work just a little bit faster with the dial up ?

If you are running winxp home you open control panel,and then click network or Internet connections,click network connections a picture with two computers connected click on them and disable or network trouble shooting.

Q:I am using an hp rfo-hf-hp IR receIver/ Blaster and I am trying tO figure out how to use the blaster function to control a cable box. I hooked up an IR cable to the port on the back labeled 1 but am lost as to where to go from there. I cannot use media center and I am using Happauge Win TV 6.
