IF IF IF the cable box remote is a type of Universal remote (most are) you can program the remote to also control the TV set. The manual for the cable box / remote will contain the instructions and the TV codes needed to make it work for your brand or TV set. You did not mention make or model of the box, remote or TV set so if you don't have the manual you will have to go online to the cable box /remote makers site and download the instructions look for the make of your TV set and program in the correct codes.

Keep breaking the upper and lower cables and think it my be the transducer causing this problem. When the cables were working the speedometer was jumping back and forth before the cables broke.

If you can get the correct length cable that goes straight from trans to speedo head, do it.

Is not there a metallic tab that you would be able to pop up at the throttle cable mount near the throttle body? I thunk you just carry that up and take the slack out after which push it back down to lock it in place.

Q:a couple days ago i tried charging my control with the charger it came with but it didnt work and i didnt really care since the battery was kinda full. But know the control only has one bar and it wont charge!!! i plug it in but the lights dont turn on or anything. does anyone know whats wrong with my control/cable/ps3???

It could either be the USB cable, or it could be the USB port. Try plugging another USB item into the port, and see if it's recognized. If it is, your port is fine. But if it doesn't come up, your port is probably gone bad. Try plugging the cable into the other ports on the front of the PS3. Either that or it could be that your cable is defective, in which case you can buy a new cable at any electronics department in most stores. If it's the USB port, call Sony Tech Support and they'll fix it for you.

Q:I have a base model cavalier from 2000 with a 2.2 engine and I want to have it with cruise control. I know that my car has the cruise control servo cable but i'm not sure if it has the module the switch and i have a switch that controls the head lights and directional signal. I looked up some sites and it says i just need to change the switch for one with the cruise control buttons. is it that easy?

Is the cruise control servo cable connected to a cruise control transducer? If so then the wiring should already be in place. To pull out your old switch, push it up, as if signaling a right turn, then pull it straight out. The cruise control wire should be a small 3 or 4 wire flat cable with a small blade connector.
