Q:Solar Water Heater, Plastic or Metal?
I took a copper coil the size of the inside of a 55 gal metal drum and put it in the drum, allowing for external connections to the coil. Fill the drum full of sand and put the lid on it. Paint the drum and lid black and place it in the sun. Very efficient and it will heat water even after the sun goes down.
Q:How does crude oil become a plastic bag?
Plastic bags start as crude oil, natural gas, or other petrochemical derivatives, which are transformed into chains of hydrogen and carbon molecules known as polymers or polymer resin. After being heated, shaped, and cooled, the plastic is ready to be flattened, sealed, punched, or printed on. hope that helps...
Q:When asked, Paper or plastic?
You can't recycle plastic, burning it produces tonnes of Co2 emissions. The toxic chemicals that make up plastic are really bad for the environment, animals and even our health Can we not say plastic like every synthetic polymer is identical, please? It really doesn't help anyone understand the issues. Many plastics CAN be recycled, and the polyethylenes used in plastic bag manufacture are excellent candidates. It may well be that there is insufficient interest in doing so, or that the business is not viewed as very exciting, or maybe there are insufficient recycling companies in existance to make the supply chain effective, but the majority of plastics can be recycled, as evidenced by the fact that during the earlier 2000s China was happily taking European trash, and recycling the plastics for it's own use. There we go - they do it, we just whinge about it. Burning plastics does cause CO2 emissions, correct. However, you are incorrect that there are toxic chemicals in plastics that are bad for the environment, animals and even our health. The plastics that most of us come into contact with and which form most packaging applications are polyolefins (polyethylene, polypropylene) and polyesters (nylons, PET). None of these contain anything toxic, and as you have already stated, they don't break down - so they cannot break down into anything toxic. Agreed, its not good to have them littering the country and getting thrown around all over the place, and its not great to use up land with huge landfill sites - but lets stop spreading the psuedoscience and hysteria and actually look at this in a vaguely scientfiic way, please? The problem with embellishing your arguments with bullshit is that once people find out that one piece of your information is fake, they naturally assume ALL of it might be fake, and it really doesn't help your case to become a compelling one. Oh, and to answer the question - plastic, but I bring reusable ones.
Q:How bright is the future of the plastic surgery?
i dont know
Q:good plastic baits for bass fishing?
i love the 4 plastic lizards on a a million/0 malicious software hook and a chop up shot to get it down. 4 is a good length and all length bass, bluegill crappie hit the lizard. attempt fishing lower than the dock to capture the fish putting around the dock first. Bass like the cover docks provide. Have a great time!!!
Q:Safe non-plastic water bottle?
I was on a similar search and I was told that you can identify the good plastic by looking on the bottom of the bottle at the small triangle they imprint there. If the number in the triangle is a 1 or 2 it's good, If it's a 6 or 7 it's the bad plastic. But you can find non-plastic bottles at Whole Foods. Thats where i found mine. I have both good plastic ones and non-plastic ones. They are a little pricey, but i'd rather pay a little extra to ensure my safety!
Q:can you live plastic free?
PERMACULTURE ANSWER: Whilst plastic is not evil the scale of its use is the environmental problem. Plastic production is highly unsustainable, presuming that we are talking about the oil based plastics and not the new bio-starch products. If I go to the supermarket and bring home my shopping in plastic carrier bags, they are ephemeral so they are quickly disposed of. The chances are that the bag will end up in landfill after one use. Whilst cotton bag production is also unsustainable it is generally used many many more times, generally for a number of years. And are not non-biodegradable. People do not tend to tie their other rubbish into a cloth bag to send it to landfill. Cotton bags will compost in any home composter. Therefore a reused bag made of cloth clearly does not have the same detrimental effect on the environment as a reused bag made of plastic (or many). The environmental impact of plastic bag disposal is magnified because of the number of the bags that are used. A wicker basket would be the obvious thing, to cut down on this massive use on single-use plastic carrier bags. Willow can be grown on sewage outfall which as we know is an environmental pollutant. There are no ENVIRONMENTAL costs of processing/production of a willow basket. It is a local economy that does not use heat, beat or treat. It could be grown in the supermarket car park dealing with the waste from the toilet block. In Permaculture we call this zoning and edge. It also demonstrates redundancy of function when used in sewage treatment. Willow is highly sustainable, from willow coppice and returns to the ground without trace. People object to carrying small cotton bags around. Whilst willow baskets are the obvious solution, how do we persuade people to give up their free plastic carrier bags in return for a bulky purchased willow basket.
Q:Question about reusing plastic bottles?
It's perfectly safe to reuse plastic bottles. Clean it with boiling water. You could buy a stainless steel water bottle from a camping store. There is nothing wrong with selling water. Of course what you are really paying for is the convenience of getting the water in a plastic bottle that you can take with you and the processing of the water to make sure it's clean. All of that cost money.
Q:how do i remove super glue from plastics?
A solvent-nail polsish contains acetone which is what you need.
Q:Plastic Surgery Colleges?
problematic factor. research on google and yahoo. it may help!
