Performance of Glass Block Misty Cloudy Blue:
1. Environmental Friendliness
Belonging to sodalime silicate glass system, glass tile, a transparent material, is made by melting silicate inorganic mineral substance materials such as quartz sand, soda ash (Na2CO3) and limestone at high temperature, being a veritable eco-friendly product.
2. Heat-shielding Performance
Due to the diffuse scattering of hollow glass tile and internal negative pressure cavity, a room can get enough light rays and the interior temperature does not rise under strong solar radiation in summer. In winter, the difference between indoor temperature and outdoor temperature can reach 40 DEG C and the air humidity is not influenced because of low thermal coefficient and great loss of blocked heat in the negative pressure cavity. If the glass tile is applied to a building, the room gets cool in summer and is away from torridness, and warms the room, does not cause dryness and saves energy in winter.
3. Sound Insulation Performance
Thanks to sealing negative gas in the hollow glass tile, the tile has high sound insulation property.
4. Light-transmitting and Non-perspective Performance
The light-transmission coefficient of white hollow glass tile is 75%-85%, which is similar to that of the general double-layered hollow glass. There are various decorative patterns on the surface of the glass tile, so the tile is non-perspective, indoor imperceptibility is realized, light rays are scattered around the room, discomfort caused by direct solar radiation is solved and the indoor luminous environment is improved.
5. Fireproof Performance
The fireproof level of hollow glass tile is GB class A. According to Japanese law, it is recognized that single-layer wall has the same performance as the second kind fire door and double-layer wall has one-hour fireproof performance.
6. High Compression Resistance and Shock Resistance
The hollow glass tile has high compression resistance and shock resistance, so that the dead weight of the hollow glass tile can be ignored even in design and construction of very high glass tile wall.
7. Atomization Resistance
The hollow glass tile has outstanding performance in resisting pulverization. For example, the surface of the glass tile does not atomize or form dew when the indoor temperature is 20°C, the humidity is 60% and the outdoor temperature is 2°C below zero, so that the erosion of atomized vapor to the frame is prevented.
Application Range of Glass Block Misty Cloudy Blue:
The hollow glass tile has noble, elegant and magnificent decorative effects. It is widely in banks, offices, hospitals, schools, hotels, airports, stations, landscapes, video walls, civil buildings, indoor partitions, stages, sanatoria, gymnasia, playgrounds, apartments, private cruise ships and so on which require beatifying, being a popular novel decorative material in modern international market.

- Q:I want to add a backsplash with a 4x4 ceramic tile. I only want to go up 1 or 2 tiles in height not the whole wall area. Edges of the tiles are not black for the unfinished ceramic. How do I make the edges look finished or black also?
- Most tile patterns have edge pieces just for this purpose. When you go shopping for your tile, check to see if there are matching edge pieces in the same color. Edge pieces are narrow, beveled or rounded off in some way so you can just butter them in along the last row of tiles and give it a finished look. Talk to the shop folks and see what they've got for you.
- Q:We had glass tile installed in our kitchen and it looks wavy. Our installer said it was an optical illusion which I disagree with. I noticed it as it was being installed and that he did not use spacers. Wouldn‘t that have allowed the tiles to move before they were grouted?
- To check his claim of optical illusion, take a level (or anything that is a few feet long and perfectly straight) and put it against your tile. Then check if the level touches the tile on all its length (ignore the air bubble). After checking one area, move left-right as needed, try a slight diagonal, vertical if you have enough room, to make sure you 'cover' the most surface of your backsplash tile, and if the level touches the tile everywhere, with no gaps here and there, then your tile are ok, not wavy. If there are gaps between your level and the tile, this shows that the tile ARE wavy. If he used the same thickness of adhesive everywhere, and if the tile prove to be wavy (after you test it as stated above), then the end result is that the wall was wavy in the first place and the tile are just following the wall. The installer should've told you about this at the very beginning... a good one should've notice that with the naked eye, or just check it with a level, and have the wall leveled before tiling. If the gaps between the tile (grout lines) are even everywhere, then at least that part of the job is done ok. Wider and narrower grout lines are the result of not using spacers, but, depending on the kind of tile used, in very rare cases, it could be from the manufacturer, as in, tiny tile squares/pieces placed on a mesh and not perfectly aligned, will result in uneven grout lines. Also, the tile adhesive is supposed to be dry (usually dries overnight) BEFORE the grouting starts. So, there shouldn't be any tile moving around while grouting. After grout has cured (usually 3 days), sealer MUST be applied to grout lines and some types of tile (not all). Good luck !
- Q:How to remove the shoe oil into the tiles
- Also provided by Grammy Music Ceramics Tiles in the course of the use may be due to improper use of surface contamination caused by the phenomenon of common seepage of several treatment methods are as follows: 1, tea stains, fruit stains, coffee, jelly vinegar, shoes and other stains using sodium hypochlorite dilution (bleach), soak for 20-30 minutes after use with a cloth wipe; some infiltration of brick longer stains, soaking Time takes a few hours. 2, ink, anti-fouling wax moldy moldy, the use of sodium hypochlorite dilution (bleach). Use as long as the bleach applied to the stains soak for a few minutes to clean. 3, cement, scale, rust, rust using hydrochloric acid or phosphoric acid solution, can be wiped several times. 4, paint, oil, oil mark, the surface of anti-fouling wax layer using alkaline cleaning agent or organic solvents (and 5 ketone, triethylene), to paint to oil. 5, gum hammer decontamination Use: first use 20% -40% sodium hydroxide solution soak for 24 hours after the wipe with a cloth, and then 30% -50% hydrochloric acid solution soak for 30 minutes Cloth wipe clean. 6, ice cream use alkaline cleaning agent. 7, lime scale use of acid cleaner. Note: 1, more than the use of defibrillators need to wear plastic gloves. 2, the stains will be removed after the water to wash the brick surface. 3, the market or supermarkets have the latest decontamination detergent, can refer to the scope of the above decontamination and methods.
- Q:Specifically wall tiles in a bathroom
- I have tiled a lot. I've used both mastic and mortar, but if you plan to use mastic make sure it's the kind for floor tiles. Next, find the center of the room. Mark a chalk line each way. Put down whatever you are going to use to adhere the tile. Place the tile. Make sure it's firmly in place, jiggle a bit but make sure it ends up square. Use the tile spacer of choice (size equals amount of grout) and repeat the process. Remove tile spacers once tile has set but not too long as it will stick too. Let tile set and then grout. Make sure you clean up the grout from the top of the tiles or it will set and ruin the tile. Follow the instructions on the grout carefully. Make sure the sponges don't have too much water in them. It sounds hard, but it's really not. Just time consuming.
- Q:I have several boxes of wall tile and I would like to use some on a floor. Is this okay? What is the difference?
- First, wall tiles are thinner than floor tiles. Because of gravity, wall tiles are made slightly thinner to make adherence to your wall easier. Wall tiles are also often more porous on their adhesive side than ceramic floor tiles, again for ease of installation. Ceramic floor tile on the other hand is made thicker for application to flat surfaces. It is also set with a different mixture of thinset mortar. You can find most styles of floor tile made for walls as well so that you can match your border to your floors. Consult with a ceramic floor tile specialist to see if they can find the style you are looking for in both ceramic floor tile and ceramic wall tile.
- Q:I got these tiles at a yard sale. They appear to be very old, hand painted and likely of Mexican origin. The label is tattered and faded, but I would love to know more about them. Thanks for any info in advance.
- Very nice and I am sure that once you put them up you will love the vintage old world look that they will give your room. Have fun!
- Q:Im looking into renovating our kitchen and thought i would cut some costs with doing some renovating ourselves. Is tiling easy to do yourself, how is it done and what surfaces can they be laid on?Thanks
- You call go to lowe's or home depot on certain saturdays and they have a tiling class. You can learn a lot there and they can answer any questions you may have and you will have some come up that you didn't even think about. And if you can find a tape or dvd on tiling it will be a great help. This is how I learned and I enjoy tiling.
- Q:I went and removed 3 ft of tiles from the side of the bath tub starting at the bottom. The tiles had the cement on it so it came off the wall exposing the wood the to the house and i saw the water damage to the wood. How do i patch up the wall? Do I use plywood and than cement it and than add the new tiles?
- If I understand the problem correctly, it sounds like you have water damage inside you wall. You first need to find out what caused that damage. If you repair the wall without finding the water leak, it will happen again. If the area was dry rot and it didn't sem like there was currently water there, then it is likely safe to fix. Carefully remove tiles until you no longer see any water damage to the wood. I'm not sure what wood is there. If its plywood, replace it with a like thickness (most of the time today, they use drywall, but its a special kind that is usually green that's made for bathrooms and moist areas). Before replacing the tiles, clean them up and remove any old grout from the edges. Be careful as the tile are very brittle and break easy. There are a number of bathroom tile type caulks that can adhere the tile to the wood. I suggest going to somewhere like Lowe's or Home Depot or a similar store and ask someone in the plumbing dept or the paint dept what kind of caulk to use to attach tile to wood. Apply the tile to the wall using the caulk. Now you need to re-grout the seams. Buy grout and apply it in all the seams. Let it completely dry (read the box but most say at least 24 to 48 hrs to completely cure) then after its cured, apply grout sealer over the top of the grout seams.
- Q:hello, this is my first tile and grout job, tiling is done now for grout. bought premixed grout, rubber float, sponge, started grouting last night, put grout on the float and applied to the tile. pushed it into the space between tiles, but it seems like alot fell off in the tub (its in the spaces between tiles) but is this normal for the grout to fall off the wall (i guess it would be considered excess?) but is that normal no sure how applying grout is suppose to look? i know i need to let it sit for 24hrs then do clean up then seal it when done. plz let me know if that grout falling in tub is normal or am i doing something wrong? ( grout is in the grout line though) just looks like alot is falling, or am i useing to much at one time? don‘t know? thx again for any info. mike
- Just okorder / can be simply made with a piece of plywood and a dowel. Simply hold the hawk against the tile then slide the grout onto the wall. And just reuse any that fall into the tub. If you were not using a premixed I would say mix your grout a little soupier as the wetter stuff will stick better to the tile for a minute giving you a chance to spread it. In a word yes its normal........ The bigger mess, the harder your working!!
- Q:I am purchasing a home and need to change the flooring before moving in. It is a 1500 sq foot house including garage, laundry room etc. I have already picked out carpet for the 3 bedrooms but am trying to decide on laminate wood floors or tile? It would be in the rest of the house including hallway, living room, and kitchen. I have heard tile floors are great, yet hard to clean, and hurt people‘s legs. I haven‘t heard too much about the laminate floors.Any opinions, suggestions, stories?? I would really appreciate it!
- Like the guy above suggested, if it was my house I would stay away from the laminate.Laminate wears quickly and can look bad fast.If your money is a little funny that may be the best way to go but if you have it I would recommend the carpet in the bedrooms tile in the baths and Hardwood in the rest of the areas.Hardwood or tile could work in the kitchen.Laminate flooring is not a good investment in the house but tile and hardwood are. I install for a living and that is the route I would go.
