Q:How to wire 2 12 Kicker CVR 4ohm?
Kicker Cvr 4 Ohm Wiring
Q:Wire nut connection question?
8 gauge wire is fairly heavy so I'll assume that this is not a low power application such as speaker drivers. I assume you want to do this because you don't have a proper connecting method of adequate size and you do have a couple of smaller size wire nuts. The proposed configuration would not be acceptable by any electric code for utility wiring for this reason. If one of those wire nut connections should fail, say due to corrosion or mechanical damage, the remaining connection would be required to carry the entire current load that both would normally share. This would no longer be adequately protected by a circuit breaker sized for the full 8 gauge wire. A high resistance point is developed with a high fire risk. Also the wire nuts would not be able to shield the conductors beyond the end of the wire insulation sheath. The exposed wire portions would need additional protection from incidental contact by some future service person. Please don't do this. Not a good practice.
Q:electrical question about copper wire?
To most of us, they look identical. However, #12 is slightly thicker and heavier than #14. In a home, #12 is often used for electrical outlets, #14 for lighting circuits (lights/switches). To view/feel the difference, visit a local Ace/Lowes/HomeDepot as a visual picture--unless magnified--will not capture the difference.
Q:re wiring a lamp question?
Good that you asked. Polarity on alternating circuits does matter. The side of the wire with a little ridge on it is the neutral side and goes to the white screw on the lamp socket. The other wire is the hot and goes to the center pin. Wired reverse of this the light will still turn off with the switch, but you will still have power at the screw shell on the socket. This is how folks get shocked when changing a bulb even though the switch is off. Same with appliances. You think it is safe to open them and look around inside because the switch is off, but power is still present through the internal workings all the way back to the switch. Trust me on that! All electrical circuits, be they AC or DC are a loop. Break that loop anywhere along the way and it ceases to work. Not understanding this simple fact is why so many folks have trouble fixing electrical circuits. It is especially true with trailer lights. But that's another subject.
Q:How to wire an AC wire into Armstrong sx 80 furnace.?
i could yet I certainly have some project's ! I Dont like your stance on Banning Cucumbers , nor do I know it !! What did they ever do to you ! heavily What could you do for a Klondike Bar ?! Get Tortured ..... LOL Oh and # 3 , properly that solves taking away the Senior electorate on the line ! Hmmm heavily Smallville what could CK have left to do Farm artwork( properly if doing it shirtless it would not be uninteresting ) ! I do like # 7 ! # 8 would not sound undesirable ! I imply truly what do they want all that money for in any case ! # 9 sounds good , i've got faith there are some extraterrestrial beings hiding in my associates Basement yet i want greater examine ! # 10 i do no longer desire to Punch them i want Fist Pump with them and get inebriated and then flow out to consume with them ! after shall we flow decrease back to there homestead and make exciting of the Grenades and communicate in regards to the lovable Guido's we'd desire to Smush ! different than for that I certainly have an argument with calling you King Pigtails once you look like Cindy Brady ! Thats purely incorrect !
Q:Home wiring question?
Green wire should be screwed into the inside of the receptacle box or pigtailed to the bare copper wire in the back of the box. If neither a bare wire or a green screw is present, call an electrician to run proper wiring to the box
Q:12/3 wire to 14/2 wire?
No you should either use a 20 amp breaker and 20 amp recepticles or if you use a 15 amp breaker then use 14/2 or 14/3 wire. Too heavy of wire creates a fire risk. If your new home was wired to code, this seems quite odd.
Q:What is inside the Magnet wire?
Magnet wire is just solid copper with a layer of varnish for insulation. Speaker wire would work, but you could not wind the wire as tightly due to the thicker insulation. also the wire is very flexible and will not stay in place very well. Also, if the coil gets hot, the insulation on the Speaker wire will start to burn or melt. .
Q:How should I wire my subwoofers?
wire the voice coils to series on each sub and then wire the subs in parallel to the amp and voila.
Q:do you have cb mic wiring codes?
I love wiring questions :) do you want to use the PTT? If yes you can assume it is a switch and solder it inline with the lead the other end (after the switch would be connected to the lead end of the 1/4 if you have a pigtail 1/4 then this would be the insulated wire, the ground would simply connect to the uninsulated wire if you are actually using a do it yourself 1/4 plug then the same rules apply only you are soldering to the terminal inside the plug sleeve rather then to bare wires (I always prefer this its cleaner). Please Note: The PTT switch will cause a loud pop when it is engaged and released on a Hi Gain guitar amp and sometimes this can damage the speakers as well as delicate internal components so do this of coarse at your own risk.
