Q:I have extremely hard water, and my water softener has been broken for a few years. There's been quite a decrease in water pressure. I'm assuming this is from hard water deposits in the pipes. Is there anything that can be done about it? Can they be flushed out?If so, do you have any idea of what the cost might be? I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap.
Sweating (soldering) pipe is tricky even at the best of times and even when done by an expert. a) Solder can go bad - but it is obviously so, crumbly and so forth. If he was using shiny plumber's solder that came off the spool normally, it was fine. b) Proper fluxing an cleanliness is the key to good solder joints. If the pipe was not cleaned properly, or if he did not use the correct flux, the process will be an exercise in frustration. My guess is that he may have been using either lead-free solder with old flux, or old lead-based solder with in incompatible flux, or no flux at all. He may also have been using a torch that was burning improperly letting carbon build up on the areas to be soldered, or an old tank of propane that was not allowing the torch to heat properly. 1. Clean the pipes and fittings either with a fitting cleaner, sand-paper, medium steel wool or other method that leaves a bright, shiny contact-surface. 2. Obtain the correct flux and use it liberally on the fitting and the pipe end. 3. Use a good torch with fresh propane - or a Presto-Lite and acetylene - but one that gives a clear, blue flame when in use. 4. Heat the fitting and pipe, not the solder. Work from the fitting to the pipe as you want to draw the solder into the fitting. Move the torch around the fitting occasionally running onto the pipe a bit. 5. Touch the solder to the fitting on the other side from the flame. When you observe the bead form on the fitting all around - STOP THERE. 6. Wipe the completed joint with a cold, wet rag saturated with clean water. This removes the excess flux and sets the fitting. Good luck with it.
Q:A couple of nights ago, the unit started without notice and wouldn't stop until I got the battery out and put it back in.There was no cooking going on at the time.
Your parents will more than likely respect you more for coming to them rather than hearing it from his parents, and it shows your mature enough to handle this.
Q:I caught a glimpse someone wearing those orange traffic safety clothing running/fast walking out of my backyard when I was in the kitchen, I ran to my room which overlooks the front of the house and saw her walk straight across the street and speaking with people across the street in a plaza where it seems to be undergoing construction I noticed its a plumbing company since there are 2 vans blocking traffic in the parking lot where they are talking. Are these companies allowed to send people into other people's backyards without permission?
You can use a bike pump if its a small extinguisher. Usually I use a compressor at about 50 lbs. If you don't have one you can go to the gas station and use theirs.
Q:I just came into contact with this kind of things.. now I can't figure out how to do it. Who can help me to solve it? Is there any way to calculate? For example, 3/4 pipe fittings, how many millimeters is it? How can I count it? Thank you!
Generally speaking, the standard is different, the corresponding caliber is also different. I don't know which one you're referring toThe pipe can be divided into many categories, there are pieces of pipe and socket welding pipe fittings, pipe trench, pipe fittings, sanitary fittings and so on. These fittings reference standard is not the same, even pieces of pipe standard also has many kinds, domestic GB/T12459, American Standard use of ASME B16.9 and ASME B16.28, and JIS2311 DIN2605 of Germany, Japan, and so many. GB GB/T12459 is divided into two series, the same "3/4" pipe fittings, the corresponding caliber is not the same. A series of peripheral dimensions and American Standard is basically the same, with the Russian standard size B is basically the same. So it's difficult to answer what the outside diameter of 3/4 is, and you need to refer to different standards. You can go to the "standard sharing network" above to check the corresponding standards, routine standards can be found, very practical!
Q:our apartment has none and we have gas heating. is my landlord legally required to install them?if possible please list a site that explains the law if there is one.
Instead of trying to access it through the task manager, simply go to your start menu and find the control panel instead. There is no way to access the control panel through the task manager that I know of.
Q:I am an Environmental and Safety Manager major in college and would like to here some of your concerns. Thanks!!!
They are called lighting rods , so you are correct.
Q:How to remove the pipe connection, the joint is ring, and there is a spring similar to the oil seal. Not a common joint, wrench removed, ask the teacher to answer
Tools, inside six corners, wrenches, screwdrivers.1, fluoride start cooling, compressor work closed high pressure valve, run for one minute, close the low-pressure valve, stop. Unplug the power plug (remember).
Q:What do you do on a first date to leave a lasting impression?
hmmmm.. probably the USA, because, apart from england, they have the most players in their squad that i've heard of (howard, beasley, edu and altidore- i know. get me lol), i would've supported france (not quite as much as a scotsman in a kilt but frenchman are pretty fit) but they couldnt keep their hands to themselves (i was actually rooting for the rep of ireland after scotland were out grr it's been a bad campaign) so it's USA or italy like last year or brazil like the time before that but really.. A.B.E and i'll be happy lol D bonus q- levein has impressed me more than i thought he would, he knows the right team, has given players a fresh start (we need boyd etc in the side and are too thin and bare without him), he got the win against the czech rep and has been much more promising than burley. with the addition of promising youngsters (thomson-hearts, wilson- rangers, cairney- hull, etc) coming through the ranks, showing quality and improving older players in the push for places, we can only improve on what has been a dismal few years for the side and hopefully qualify for euro and beyond. ahh now i'm dreamin )
Q:i was recently in a car wreck and the airbags went off. i heard you are supposed to throw the clothes you were wearing away. is it safe to continue to wear them?
I'm not sure what kind of water piping you have in your house. If it's copper pipe and the leak is on the actual pipe itself, you can repair the leak with push together fittings (shark bite, pro bite, there are many brands just ask your clerk at your local hardware store). Since this is on your tub I'm guessing this is a half inch pipe and will take 1/2 inch fittings. Most of these fittings have been approved for permanent use and will last years to come. If your piping is galvenized, I would suggest using what is called a pipe repair clamp. This is a stainless steel saddle that has a rubber inside that clamps around the hole in the pipe. This will temporarily fix a leak on a galvenized system and most hardware stores carry these in 4 lengths to 6 lengths. I would strongly suggest having a repipe done with new copper or pex piping as soon as you can. *note* To cut out the hole in a copper system, you will need a copper tubing cutter. These pipes are generally in hard to access places so I would by a very small cutter, often referred to as a thumb cutter. If the leak is on a fitting, you are best to just call your plumber out. Depending on your area, most plumbers can fix easily accessible leaks on copper systems in the ball park of $100. Good luck!
Q:This question is not really about things of clothing in greece it is actually of HOW TO MAKE A PRETTY CHITON a type of greek dress it has to be easy and if you want some info would help ALOT!!!!!!!
No. Monsters are flipped: 1. When attacked because the players need to know the monster's defense to see whether it was destroyed or not. 2. When the owner of the monster manually flips it face up (flip summon). 3. When the card effect specifically states that the face down monster is flipped (such as Swords of Revealing Light). Otherwise if the card is simply destroyed or sent back to your hand, it is not flipped.
