Sounds like it is jury rigged.Unless you can exchange it for one that is plumbed similar to the old one,you'll have to add pipe and plumb it to new fittings.Usually the cold inlet pipe is to the top with hot coming from the side or bottom.

Codes is most areas are very vague about materials to be used for pipes but instead only specify diameter sizes to be used for supply and drain. Even in today's codes you'll likely not see a material specification for pipe as there are so many variations now on the market and copper is getting priced out of the range for most buyers. In different parts of the country copper and steel pipe was used interchangeably through the 50s and 60s with copper taking over in the early 70s and staying strong until about 10 years ago with the advent of the flexible PVC tubing and quick-connect fittings and the insane price increases in the cost of copper.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the device a Firefighter uses to TEMPORARILY shut off or reduce a leak on a fire line IN SERVICE is a Fire Hose Jacket (See Akron Brass 772) and it is placed around the Soft Pliable fire hose and closed over it, so that the internal pressure pushes the side of the hose against the gasket inside the Rigid Fire Hose Jacket with the hose at what are, when compared to the oil well application, relatively LOW Pressures. The design of most municipal fire hoses to day is such that although these devices are still around they are not used very widely anymore. That is NOT the case with the Gulf Oil Well leak it is under EXTREME PRESSURE, that would make it virtually impossible to get a similar device in place. The problem is that the extreme pressure would be forcing any patch away from the pipe with such force that is could not be over come until you had a GREATER force. What they are attempting to do with the TWO additional wells is to provide an alternate less restrictive (EASIER) route for that oil pressure to release with a bigger volume of flow that should hpefully allow the pressure to drop at the original well, thus allowing them to deal with repairing or capping it.

Bullying, never ends does it? I know sometimes telling parents is hard because they will start calling you names or what ever. You could try beating them up of giving them wedgies also, its 2 vs 2 right? But you could also try talking. When they're doing it tell them they look immature and stupid doing that to an 8 year old kid. That they should grow up and find something productive to do rather than looking like fools. For what it's worth BSP threads have 11 threads per inch, where it's 2 inch, 1 1/2. or 1 or 3/4.1/2, 3/8.1/4. BSP threads aren't interchangeable with NPT threads NPT threads are often used on high pressure such as hydraulic hoses gas fittings. Cheers!

Since a rate is not suggested just quote the formula for WHP ..The Head is the rise in feet 50 plus the friction of the pipe. the pipe is the Hypotenuse of the triangle 50 x 200..with unknown friction and diameter to answer this the rise + the friction is all you need to say. 2.vertically 200 m on the same floor..well I would bet that its horizontally on the same floor. Friction is the only head if there is no rise. quote the formula for WHP for the pump power 3.well your right the simple static head is 200m and the power is found again by the WHP formula. these are all the same thing basically getting something from one point to another through a pipe or tube. Friction ,head elbows reducers every little piece has a determining factor . Of course that's in a real situation . Q:I am wondering what everyone prefers. I am new to working with all of this. I want to be able to do collage pendants. I have done some research so I kind of know what I can and can't use with the different products. Like obviously nothing plastic with the Amazing Glaze because it will melt. But it says with the Amazing Glaze it will be slightly yellow after drying. How bad is it? I am using antique gold and copper plated pewter pendants. So a little yellowing would be ok, but I don't want anything to look dirty. Ice resin is nice but VERY expensive. A little advice would be fantastic!! Thanks everyone!
