Q:what are the food additives commonly for use?
Hey i'm here for the first time. I found this question and I find the answers truly valuable. I'm hoping to give something back and help others too.
Q:What is the major disadvantage of putting additives into food?10 points
Preservation - food last longer (e.g. doesn't spoil as fast). Enhances flavor - makes food taste better or in the case of meats more tender. Disadvantages: Some food additives aren't safe and may cause diseases (e.g. sodium nitrates in bacon).

Q:here are a list of symptoms that i have:chronic fatigue, drowsiness, irritable bowel syndrome like bloating, cramping, and constipation, migraine headaches, some skin rashes that itch and some that don‘t , but hurt like the bruises that are coming up on my body, muscle spasms, joint pain and stiffness, forgetfulness, difficulty in concentration, irritableness, depression, and some blurred vision? i know that know one can make a diagnosis on the web. but, i need to know what additives and preservatives in food can cause these symptoms so that I can refer the answers to my doctor on what steps to take so that i can help him with some diagnosis on my health? he is having difficulty in determining my health issues. there are so many similiar symptoms and diseases out there and i don‘t have much time to search the web. anyway, ive never been to a doctor before about my physical health issues until about May or June of this year of 2006. They started getting worse about nearly a year ago.
I have experienced many of the same symptoms that you have. After six years of research and seeing internists, allergists, dermatologists, and gastroenterologists, I finally saw a naturopathic doctor who immediately diagnosed my problem as candida. Candida is like a yeast infection in your system. You can probably ease your symptoms by following a strict anti-candida diet: NO sugars of any kind; no more than two servings of fruit per day; NO refined flours (100% whole grain only); no salts except sea salt; and NO milk. You can however eat natural cheeses, natural yogurt, meats, and vegetables. Drink water or herbal teas (may put a lemon or lime in it.); no soda. The most harmful additive in current food supplies is high fructose corn syrup - and it is added to nearly every sauce or packaged food! You need to give the diet about six months to work, so be patient. Good luck!
Q:About a week ago I added a bottle of some sort of gas additive(I think it said it would keep my engine dry or something) that I found in my garage which means it was old, but it was unopened. My car seemed like it did run better but I only drove it for about a minute to get home and than I turned it off and didn‘t touch it for about 3 days. When I went to start it the engine didn‘t do anything at all. The battery worked but the engine didn‘t really try to start at all.Could this be from not driving the car much right after adding this?
If it was carburetor vehicle and you have fuel injection yes it. A dry or of the old type will dry out that the injectors so they will not inject fuel I do the engine.
Q:I know winstons are but they don‘t make winston menthols But the sister brand to winston is salem And salems are only mentholI‘m trying to switch to additive free cigs and I‘ve tried American Spirit menthols and they were stale when I bought them, not to mention dreadful. And I know menthol itself is an additive but besides that
I don't think there's such a thing as additive-free cigarettes. It's a bit of an oxymoron, really. Like jumbo shrimp or ordered chaos. Whether or not cigs have additives in them doesn't change the fact that they're absolutely horrible for your health.
Q:What does it mean by up to isomorphism?
That notation potential to take g(x) and positioned it in for x interior the f(x) equation. So in f(x) x + a million, i visit throw out the x and put in 2x^2 - 3 {f o g}(x) 2x^2 - 3 +a million Simplify. {f o g}(x) 2x^2 - 2
Q:I have a 2002 Ford Focus and it is leaking power steering fluid. Its not a bad leak. I have to re-fill it about every two weeks. I am not finacially able to take my car to a mecanic right now. A friend told me about some power steering fluid with leak stopping additives that he said would probably take care of my problem. Is it safe to use?
I had a Ford Bronco for almost 10 years. When I got it the person I bought it from told me about the leak. I put in an additive and that took care of it until I bought a Ford pickup.
Q:I lately have experienced some behavioral issues with my son and have learned that food additives such as BHA and BHT could be the problem because they may cause my sons behavior to worsen. He is already at a disadvantaged because both my husband and I were diagnosed with ADHD back in the 80‘s (we are the same age) so how can i assure that he‘s not getting these additives if the food companies don‘t put them on the box. I know that a box of cornflakes I bought today has them in it, does anyone know of what other things that my son eats contains these horrible preservatives. Also if anyone knows a good book that I can purchase about what to look for, I would appreciate it.Thanks!
I think you would do best by looking these up in a good encyclopedia. The Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology is an industry source which some libraries have. Unfortunately, it is pretty technical for most people and does not have a lot on the toxicology. In general, no food additives are good for one. BHA BHT are used to prolong the shelf life. That is no longer necessary in the developed world. It takes a lot more time to find foods without additives but it is worth the effort.
Q:Baking powder is not a food additive
Is, but in general relatively safe and healthy, for example, we generally use baking soda class, if it is too high uric acid patients also eat more baking soda foods such as soda face
