- Q:Does Restore brand engine additive really work or is it money wasted??
- i have used it and it met my expectations. but its not a miricle worker, it wont fix something thats to far gone
- Q:is it a big deal choosing the good ranked Oil?
- Go as far down the list as possible, eg. ST.
- Q:If you can give the easiest to understand explanation, will be appreciated
- Additive Vs Subtractive Color
- Q:Is a polaroid photograph considered additive or subtractive color?
- Photographic prints (including Polaroids) do not emit light. All photographic prints are viewed via reflected light (subtractive color). In other words, the light is reflecting off a surface. Light hits the surface and some photons of particular wavelengths are absorbed by the object (or pigments) while others are reflected - this is what gives a solid object colour. Anything else that shows colour by reflected light is also using subtractive color. That would include any solid (non-transparent) object in the real world too, including paper with ink or paint on it. Computer screens and TVs emit colored light (additive color).
- Q:I usually only use them when I am traveling on long road trips, but I know they recommend using them every time you fill the tank. Is using them the same as using buying premium gas vs. the regular?
- STP fuel additives do work. I use some form of cleaner about every five tank fulls when I am not buying gas at a national brand station (like Shell). There are the cleaner types and there are octane boosters. Both work, but unless you are a real enthusiast more then likely the octane boosters will not be doing you any real good. Some times it is a false savings, I have not done the math lately, but the last time I did, it was cheaper to just buy the better gas then to buy the cheap gas and add additives.
- Q:Hello,I have a 2003 ford Taurus with 110K on it.Still looks new, and I have been religeious on the oil changes. Is putting in slick 50 a good or bad idea?
- I have used prolong and slick 50 and have seen no harming effects from using it, they actually increased my RPM at idle almost 200 RPM by lubricating the engine better and my gas mileage increased a little also.
- Q:What is the difference between the additive inverse of a number and its absolute value?
- additive inverse is the opposite and absolute value is the distance from zero...
- Q:What is the definition of processed food exactly? How can a food be processed but not contain any additives?
- Because processing also means cleaning, sorting and packaging foods. ALL veggies in the produce aisle have been processed or they would be still in the field. ALL fresh meat has been processed or it would still be running around in the pasture. the very act of canning veggies(nothing but the veggie and salt in the jar) is called processing and always has been. read ANY canning book out there. Here is the official definition of the word. proc·ess1 [?pr??ses, ?prō?ses] VERB perform a series of mechanical or chemical operations on (something) in order to change or preserve it: the various stages in processing the wool OVERLY processed foods is the stuff with a long ingredient list and lots of additives.
- Q:10) A manufacturer of a gas additive claims that it improves gas mileage. A random sample of 30 drivers tests this claim by determining their gas mileage for a full tank of gas that contains the additive (X1) and for a full tank of gas that does not contain the additive (X2). The sample mean difference D-Bar equals 2.24 miles (in favor of the additive) and the estimated standard error equals 3.0 miles.(a) Using t- test the null hypothesis at the .05 level of significance(b) Specify the p-value for this result. _____________
- If true, it probably has more to do with the fact that the bikes with wider tires are sport bikes which by their nature get ridden harder. In any case, your premise (motorcycles having the width of the tyre very large possess less mileage) is shaky. If you want to test the effect of tires on fuel consumption, you have to eliminate other variables. This has been done, to a degree, on KLR650s, which accommodate a wide range of tire types. Bikes running knobby tires have been observed to use more fuel than bikes of the same model running street tires. Some riders have noticed a difference after a tire change. The notion that wide tires increase fuel consumption has some intuitive appeal, but you are going to have some difficulty even showing that it is so, much less isolate a reason.
- Q:I have a 2002 Ford Focus and it is leaking power steering fluid. Its not a bad leak. I have to re-fill it about every two weeks. I am not finacially able to take my car to a mecanic right now. A friend told me about some power steering fluid with leak stopping additives that he said would probably take care of my problem. Is it safe to use?
- Most people now buy auto in USA, ca't vouch for canuks.
