Q:My kids were not supposed to have drinks in the living room but of course they did and one of them spilled orange soda on my brand new 300$ rug. And of course being kids instead of coming and telling me right away they tried to clean it up with water and then hid it and I did not find it until this morning. So I have soaked it in this carpet spray cleaner and cleaned it with my bissel cleaner 3 times and it still remains! Please help me. Tell me what will remove this terrible stain!: you can try use undiluted vinegar or a solution of water and vinegar. It is important to test a small area for color fastness.

Q:How to remove laundry detergent from rug?: Wait for a nice hot day, then with your garden hose , hose it down. I would say better to wash all of the rug at the same time, if you spot clean only, you will be left with clean patches and rest will look bad, Be sure to wash when the weather is hot , so this way the carpet will dry through out

Q:How to release hydrops in the room laid with carpet?: The other water can be treated with a duster cloth that can absorb the wet. And you can take this opportunity to wash the carpet and dry it up, and then screw it until it dry up, and then wipe it. It is easy to handle.

Q:Me and some friends were wrestling around and I got a rug burn...its pretty red...anyone know the best way to heal it and about how long it'll take? (Dnt wanna walk around skool with it but meh) I was thinking of using Neosporin pain relief ointment (the clear kind) 2 times a day..any ideas? Thx in advance :D: Rug burn is chafing , so neosporinr is perfect. Just wash with soapy water and let it dry first. It will clear up fast if it's just red. If its bleeding or oprn will take longer. Aloe, from a plant will work too.

Q:I bought an expensive new rug, on the tag it says professional cleaning only, could I still use my vacuum/steam cleaning vacuum?: I WOULD TEST A SMALL AREA WITH IT FIRST i believe cleaners use chemicals more than steam, but my brother has a carpet cleaning buisiness, and he uses steam extraction on carpet sofas!

Q:Can I use hydrogen peroxide for my carpet cleaning machine to clean the carpet?: I once got a nasty vomit stain in my oatmeal color carpets, I tried to clean it with regular Resolve but it didn't work. In desperation, knowing that dishwasher detergent is excellent to remove grease stains in white clothing, I used it on the carpet, and Eureka!!!!!, the stain disappeared completely. So, I decided to try using dishwashing detergent instead of the regular carpet detergent solution in the carpet cleaning machine and my carpets returned to it's original gorgeous color and all stains were gone. The carpets not only were cleaner, they smelled wonderful. Another good point of using dishwashing detergent is that is very low suds so it leaves no residue.

Are they really just junk or can a $100 6x8 area rug really be of good quality?: You get what you pay for . A wool rug that was tightly knotted is the most durable longest lasted choice. Most company use cheaper materials to machine make a rug. Polyester , Viscous (bamboo silk) will leave track marks in heavy traffic areas but are less likely to release dust in your home. Feel the back of the rug , if its rough on the back side and coarse its most likely made buy a machine . If the back side and front feel the same it most likely is made by a hand loom or hand knotted.
