Q:How do I remove the tea stains from the carpet?
Sponge it in water, and dry it in the same way.
Q:what is the best home remedy for cleaning automotive carpet?
Resolve spray carpet cleaner, a small stiff bristle nylon brush, and a small wet/dry vacuum cleaner...do small section at a time so you can see the difference... Look around for a good leather cleaner/conditioner
Q:Where can I sell valuable anitques and rugs?
Since okorder.com/
Q:can I use Gorilla glue to stick the area rugs to carpet?
I would not use gorilla glue on anything you need to walk on. Gorilla glue foams up like styrofoam if it usn't clamped tight and the dried foam is a bit fragile and will crumble. Super glue will soak in and not hold the pieces together. I can't think of a solution, but perhaps there's an answer at Ace or Home Depot hardware store. Perhaps staples will work out, or carpet tacks, unless the floor is cement.
Q:how can I get mustard stains out of carpet?
Hi, Unfortunately there is nothing that will take out a mustard stain, it depends on how old the carpet is, but you could try to claim on your warranty through the manufacturer wether it's shaw, Mohawk, Gulistan, etc.. ask where you bought the carpet and make a claim. Unfortunately under a stain warranty coffee, tea and mustard are not covered but you could try. What has happened is that the yellow from the mustard has thoroughly died the carpet fiber from it's original color.. Any harsh cleaner will discolor the carpet so be careful...Try the cleaning line by Capture..they have it at Lowes or Home Depot in the flooring dept. It's really good. Some stains require multiple attempts AFTER it dries . Good Luck... Chris 7 yrs Flooring Specialist Lowes, michigan
Q:how to latch rug making?
Most people start with a kit consisting of a painted canvas, sufficient cut yarn to complete the project, and a latch hook. 1. Bind the edges of the canvas either with rug binding or with temporary tape to prevent raveling. 2. Take a piece of yarn of a color that's used at your starting edge. Fold it in half. 3. Insert your latch hook under the thread of the canvas that is the same color as the yarn. 4. Insert the fold of the yarn into the hook. 5. Pull the hook back out from under the bar of the canvas, keeping the loop of yarn on the hook. 6. Slide the hook forward in the loop, hook the two legs of yarn, and pull them through the loop. Tighten to secure. 7. Repeat 2-6 until all the rug is covered with yarn. Normally, you would start on a long edge and put a row of yarn across, then go to the next row (rather than completing all of a color at one time).
Q:beige walls, dark carpet?
YES! DO IT! A dark purple carpet, way to make a statement! PLUS, if its the right purple, maybe even a burgundy wine purple - that would look so classy and elegance! Add some more gold pieces like frames, wall clocks, mix in some bronzes... and you've got a ridiculously cool space. FINALLY someone who isnt installing plain white carpet! Go for it!
Q:How and where to choose area rug for living room.?
you okorder.com. you get and idea os styles out there. pls keep in mind any photo will not give any idea what the rug will actually look like on your floor. Many rugs have a cat surface such that they have a different shade looking from the two ends. So look for that if the rug has it or not. The two shades can be dramatically different. This is especially true for hand-knotted rugs, which you are not buying now but maybe in future. IKEA and JCPenney would be good. Discount flooring stores may have a bigger selection. Macy's and furniture stores nylon is the best for easy maintenance. Look for the size and the lenght of the fibers - when you bend a corner down towards the underside, the rolled edge should have a fairly thick set of fibers sticking out - if not the rug will not hold up under traffic. You can learn more about rugs on these website. A decent nylon rug with a spot-hiding pattern usually will last for as long as your upholstered furniture.
Q:Carpet asbestos??
well, that must be some sort of carpet padding, but i suppose it depends how long ago the carpet was installed. there was a time when they used asbestos to insulate like everything. so, if the carpet was installed after the mid 80's my guess is it's not, but if it was installed before then there is a good chance it is. if it is in fact asbestos, get it out of there, that S%^ will give you cancer, or something, it's terrible for the lungs.
Q:How much carpet can I afford?
You are going to need roughly 46 square yards of carpet to do these 3 -- more if the rooms are not precisely square/rectangular or there are any cut outs or niches, etc. Look at the price per square yard for good quality, high durability carpet -- you do not want to have to do this again within the next 5 or 10 years. Don't just get an estimate - pick out the exact carpet you want and get an estimate from 3 companies using the same carpet, or the lower estimate will be cheap carpet, cheap padding, and will look like **** in a year or two. If the carpet costs less than $20-30 sq yd these days, it's probably garbage.
