Q:Also, Is a pneumatic control valve an ATC or an ATO; is it a FO or FC valve?
When the individual ego is very high, directly relating itself to universal oneness is a difficult process, so he or she can get married and experience and grow with each other and than expand further. Such elaborate procedures are followed in ancient tantra philosophies. There there is no husband and wife tagging required, just two partners agree upon to help each others evolve and help each other as a subject in there experiment and practices. My brother coyote above makes this point very clear. -- Deito Harirnama Harirnama Harirnama Kevalam.
Q:I have mitral valve prolapse. Just recently Ive been getting chest pains more often * few times a day* and the panic and anxiety have gotten worse. I had a pain last night that lasted about 10 minutes and it was very uncomfortable.I know mitral valve prolapse is a condition that usually not a threat. But can it get worse over time with some people? My doctor already knows I have it but should I go back to have more tests done?Im kinda scared because my symptoms are getting to be more than what they were.Any advice?
It's not clear whether or not your symptoms are pathological and you are anxious and worrying because you are having symptoms or you are having panic attacks/anxiety episodes and the symptoms you are having are a result of this. It's often a vicious circle, there may be nothing wrong. As you have been told, MVP is a fairly common finding and generally does not cause any problems. MVP is often over-diagnosed, especially in young women- GPs are terrible for this. This happens because some Doctors have incomplete understanding of normal valve anatomy and ECG appearances. Various symptoms are often attributed to MVP, such as atypical chest pain, palpitations, syncope and anxiety. These were sometimes termed mitral valve prolapse syndrome. However, data from the Framingham study and others does not support a link between these symptoms and MVP. Please bear this in mind because some misinformed Drs and Nurses may try to tell you otherwise. The problem only comes with MVP is if one develops severe mitral regurgitation. IF there is severe regurgitation (which I seriously doubt), the most likely symptoms you would experience would be breathessness, dizziness or tiredness. Chest pains (angina) can occur if there is reduced blood flow to the coronary arteries or if not enough blood gets to the thickened ventricle. Best advise here is for you to pop along to your GP so he can do an ECG and possibly an Echo, this is more to set your mind at rest though. In absence of other symptoms, the most likely explanation for your symptoms is musculoskeletal pain.
Q:I just fixed a clog in my bathroom sink by taking off the p-trap. I had turned off the water valve beforehand, and when I was done I turned it back on. After this, all that came out of the faucet was a trickle. Turning the valve in the off position does not stop the trickle. When I first turned the valve off before taking off the pipe, the valve was not turned all the way left or right. It was in the middle, but the water flowed fine. When I turned the valve all the way to the right, the water shut off at the faucet. My apartment is pretty old. Is this valve most likely broken?
Could be a 3-way valve. Try putting it back in the middle. If that doesn't work, it probably broke.
Q:i have a yamaha trumpet. i got it brand new and it is 3 years old. I recently did drop it and i have a tiny dent on the last turn to the bell. after that they started sticking . There are no dents on the valves or casing surrounding them. i brought them to Quinlan and fabish and showed them the sticking they replaced the valves spring padding and the such. They also did an ultrasound cleaning i think it is called . they are still sticking. Please any think that you can suggest i showed my band teacher who suggested going to Quinlan and fabish. Then my trumpet teacher who said i need to oil more after the cleaning please help
Check that you are not putting sideways pressure on your valves when you press them downwards. Even on a good horn this sideways pressure can cause friction between the piston and the valve casing. Avoid this by arching your fingers a little, depressing with your finger's tips, and avoid the pinkie finger ring entirely. Tying your pinkie up in that only restricts your 3rd. finger's freedom of straight downward movement. Over- lubricating the valves can be as bad as too little oil. Do the whole warm bath treatment that you would normally do to clean it, add 3 drops to each valve, work horn for a few minutes, wipe valves with very old (washed heaps of times) t-shirt: then finally 2 drops again. If this doesn't work, get a trumpet specialist teacher to take it home for this treatment.(You might not be bathing it right). Failing that, check my web site's repair section. Good Luck!
Q:We are using safety valves of gas and steam for detergent slurries. Why they do not function?
A gas valve is designed for gas, not thick slurry! When the valve opens, the aperture is nowhere near large enough to allow a significant flow of slurry. The simplest thing would be to use a burst diaphragm, designed to burst at a particular pressure and sized for the appropriate flow rate. You need to replace it after every use, but they are cheap. Otherwise you are stuck designing a custom valve, which would be pretty expensive.
Q:I have a 2004 yfz 450 and in the passed 4 rides (about 2 hours long each), one of my valves has stayed down and been broken when the piston came back up and made contact with it. After putting it back together the first time i checked numerous times to make sure timing, valve movement, and camshaft movement were all correct. and just 2 rides later (today) the same thing happened again. I have not began work on it yet so i do not know if it is the same valve. But has anyone ever had this problem before? Is this something frequent with yfz's or am i missing an important maintence issue? And can anyone tell me why this is happening? All help and tips are much appreciated!! Thanks!!

Q:the blow off valve has a hose that goes to the intake. Do you need that hose.
if you want it to operate properly the yes you will need it. The valves are also adustable but you need a tech manual to and special tool to do it propperly dont just guess at its setting rather know it. I assume the picture i looked at was your engine. Unless you like taking chaces i would recomend you put your timing belt cover back in place. If anything should get in there between your t-belt and gears or pullys the belt could be damaged and if it does get damaged you could damage the valves in the event of t-belt failure. I know people like to see the belt and gears moving and if that is what you are wanting i would suggest installing one of the clear t-belt covers that are available. unfortunatly i do not know who makes them. if you cant find out go to a car show and talk to gear heads that have them on there cars.
Q:where on the motor is the valves location
The idle air control valve can be found under the throttle body. In order to get to it: 1. Disconnect negative battery cable. 2. Remove air intake from throttle body. 3. Disconnect throttle body cable. 4. Disconnect sensor connectors from IAC valve, and throttle position sensor. 5. Remove 4 bolts from throttle body using 10mm socket wrench. 6. Take throttle body, turn bottom side up, remove 4 mounting screws from IAC Once you do that you have removed the IAC. Reverse the steps to put it back on starting at number 6 and working your way back to number one How do you replace an air idle control valve? Replacing an idle control valve can be a daunting task. For your specific application, we recommend to ask in our car forum for advice. Here we will describe the basic process for replacing your idle control valve. Please note that for different cars and trucks the process will not be the same. Steps to replace your idle control valve You will want to begin by first gaining access to the idle control valve. In order to do this you will need to remove the air filter assembly, along with the air mass sensor and the air mass meter boot. Once you remove this whole assembly, you should have easy access to the throttle body. Remove the four bolts that secure the throttle body to the intake manifold. Usually on the bottom of the throttle body, on fuel injected cars, there is a idle control valve. To remove the old valve, simply unscrew or unbolt it. Bolt on the new valve, and reinstall everything. Make sure you replace your throttle body gasket at this time.
Q:okay i have a 1990 plymouth laser. it runs very and the compression is good but it smokes. im thinking valve seals? Also i need to know the tool to remove the seals. Thanx
spring compressor is only special tool you need, can borrow one at autozone for free (you pay a deposit but get it back) but one question, does it smoke when you start it up then quit after a while? that is valve seals. If it smokes after warm up and when you accellerate its probably the wiper rings in the engine.
Q:Does a faulty pcv valve (Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve) cause excessive exhaust smoke ?
Yes. This would definitely cause excess smoke, probably white in color. If the pcv valve is bad, it's probably leaking water into your oil, and oil into your cylinders, thus your engine is burning oil. This is an extremely cheap and easy fix. Make sure that when you change the pcv valve, you change the pvc valve grommet as well (the little black seal around the valve). Also, be extremely careful not to crack any plastic from the pcv valve or the grommet, because pieces of the plastic could fall into your intake manifold, and then you have to remove the intake manifold cover and that can become a pain in the a**.
